The UK’s Avro Vulcan is one of the three V bombers commissioned by the United Kingdom during the Cold War era. The other two V bombers were the Handley Page Victor and the Vickers Valiant. Arguably the most famous, the Vulcan, with its sleek and futuristic design still looks modern even by today’s standards. The Avro Vulcan’s career is a testament to the prowess and innovation of British aeronautical engineering.

The Vulcans and the converted Victors were a part of operation Black Buck which was the longest range bombing operation in 1982 during the Falklands War
While they were great looking aircraft and very capable they were never the worlds most powerful five minutes of research could have told you that.
They definitely were the world’s loudest… the soviets didn’t need radar… you could hear them coming…
