Ari and Chris react to the finals from both the Rose and Sugar Bowls. Michigan vanquished Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide after a long-standing cold spell in the playoff. Jim Harbaugh finally erased his postseason performance narrative while J.J. McCarthy made plays when it mattered most. Michael Penix Jr. went OFF. Kalen DeBoer in the Huskies earned a much-deserved Sugar Bowl win over Texas with stout defense and creativity. What’s next for Texas as they depart for the SEC?
Plus, an early look at Michigan-Washington in the National Championship.

What crazy endings to both games! That injury timeout rule needs to be altered. Their shouldn’t be an option for the defense to decline the 10 sec run off. If the offense fakes an injury, and stops the clock, their should always be a 10 sec run off and or clock starts again when the whistle blows.
Great show! Huskies could beat the Seahawks!
2:55 He said alabama beat michigan in the rosebowl game… no sir, they didnt! GO BLUE… dum dum
That is weird as a Michigan fan I thought exactly the same way you did. I thought that you guys are always making hard catches but they make some impossible great catches so it’s hard to gauge how good the quarterback is but I’ve seen Washington from day one at first game with the Oregon and it was really impressive.
artie.. both are not group A teams… yet… GO BLUE. good thing the games are played.. they may not matter.. but … still better than a beat writer… 🙂
If a teams player gets hurt they should be allowed to choose to have the clock resume and run down, they shouldnt be punished for their own player getting hurt
This was Michigan’s best game of the season and their worst game of the season.
The Washington defense isn't great. But they make plays. Take today. They gave up a lot of yards and points but they had sacks and two forced fumbles. Not to mention the end of the game.
All big10 natty. Haha
Cheatigan are cheaters who cheat!
Hey give Michigan credit. They best a young team with 4,5&6 year players. Vets outplayed the youth. The future is still bright at Alabama. The way Michigan won it'll take another 5 years before they see a team like this while Alabama will be back next year. Thst was a Sophomore lead team.
JJ must've slept with Chris Vannini girl! He can NEVER give that dude any credit….
You guys don’t understand a Sarkisian team.
Michigan hasn't needed a team of game breakers to win. They out sceme the other teams, wear them down, and execute when needed
It's almost like there's more to teams than how they recruited, who'd have thought? 😂
Jj is a top 5 qb. You are just haters. Recruiting junkies.
With transfers and nil composit rankings mean nothing anymore. There’s more parade in the sport then ever before. And it’s getting more diversified going forward.
I must be a complete home, but I don’t understand how you can look at how these two teams played in their respective games and pick Michigan.
Washington has seen everything Michigan does well and won. Michigan hasn’t seen an offensive juggernaut like UW.
You keep mentioning this team rankings program your proud of. And that WA sucks on it. But I don’t think it means what you think it means. Says indigo Montoya
Washington offensive line is criminally underrated.
Washington was underdog at Corvallis, in LV against oregon, vs texas, and now against mich. That would be dogs in four of last five games, and as a Husky fan the Team and Husky Nation are feeding off being overlooked or undervalued. Go DAWGS!
At 2:54 you say "Alabama beat Michigan 27-20…….." Uhhhhhh………. ????????????
Washington is undefeated simply because they haven't played a single top 12 defense all season and they have a QB that can pass better than maybe anyone in college. Washington has no defense themselves. They are Unranked. #13 defense was toughest they faced. Utah 😂 #1 overall defense is MICHIGAN, #2 passing defense is MICHIGAN, #2 scoring defense is MICHIGAN. SABAN COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT AND WASHINGTON CERTAINLY WONT 😂. THIS IS A LAUGHABLE ONE DIMENSIONAL WASHINGTON TEAM AND A LAUGHABLE MATCH UP
ITS LUCK THAT WASHINGTON IS EVEN HERE. UTAH WAS THE BEST DEFENSE WASHINGTON FACED ALL SEASON. WITH AN UNRANKED DEFENSE 😂 LAUGHABLE MATCHUP. WASHINGTON DOESN'T MATCUP WELL AT ALL AGAINST MICHIGAN
JJ McCarthy isn't a dynamic QB, but his winning percentage is at 96 😂 Who's is higher? He makes plays when he has to, and he's the most selfless QB in college
Your laughable team hasn't faced a top 10 defense all season. Your defense is unranked. You're one dimensional and have no running game. Utah was best defense you faced. Michigan overall defense is #1, Michigan pass defense is #2, Michigan scoring defense is #2. Michigan has a great team all around. Brace yourself for an ass whooping you've never seen before because of your laughable soft schedule 😂
Do you guys know what you're talking about? Almost every team Michigan played this year scored first. Do your research, gentlemen. Defense wins championships. Washington doesn't have one. Michigan is a big, strong bully with a well-rounded, perfectly coached team. Washington in serious trouble here
McCarthy would be viewed as a top tier college quarterback with similar numbers as Nix, Pennix, Williams if he played in those same systems with the same set of skill players.
This whole notion of JJ just not being the “guy” is non sense. Michigan doesn’t or has never asked him to be the guy. Michigan doesn’t have any outside skill players like USC, like Oregon, like Washington.
If you swapped QBs for Michigan & Washington, they would be similar in regards to stat lines.
Dude on the right refused to say JJ played great 😂
Paraphrasing his words on the last drive: "he didn't really do much, he just had 2 passes over 25 yards, and a 16 yard run, and a touchdown pass, it wasn't really him"
The thing about Michigan is they are "old men" for college football. Their entire front O Line is all 4-6 year Sr's or Grad students.
