  1. Cason Wallace didn’t look great? I thought he was excellent.

You typically say you are impressed with his play against other teams. He was typical Cason. Hit one of two 3’s. 3 assists. Didn’t back down in anybody on defense and along with JDub was attacking on defense causing disruptions during the decisive early 4th quarter run.

If that didn’t impress you then I can understand that. Nothing monumental…. But it was the exact same Cason from every other game so maybe you need to reevaluate your opinion of him overall.

  2. Jrue has been pretty rough on the block and at the rim. I think most of it has to do with what they ask of him on the defensive end… not only is his assignment constantly changing he's always fighting through and over screens. In addition he's also running his ass off on switches and kick outs for 3. I think his legs are paying the price on the offensive end you can see it in his lift off and how often he front rims bunnies.

  3. SGA seems to have the same sort of trickle down effect that the Joker has, I.e. the entire team even the second unit, seems smarter, passes better, etc. Shai doesn’t look spectacular (he is!) doing what he does, so teammates think “hey, I could do that too” (they can’t) and it stretches their game and court IQ. I think the Thunder are a piece or two away from making the finals. The rumored Markkanen trade sounds shrewd, so long as they don’t give up any of their top 8, just picks.

  4. This came down to three plays, all Jaylen. Top 6 Tatum chucking a horrific 3 with 4 minutes left was not one of them. The best part was Bill describing Jrue's play as Smart-ish and it being a compliment. Dude can't finish two sentences without contradicting himself.

  5. Joe Mazzula will lose the C's the championship at some point in this year's playoffs .. Book it ….. There will come a game where you need an ugly win with nuts and bolts of playoff basketball which is offensive rebounding, deflections, xtra possessions with hustle, FTs etc…. They have the players but the coach will jeopardize them I'm prognosticating….

  6. This is a video where Bill Simmons gets to talk himself into the Celtics being a favorite.

As it stands, they may be the favorite. The Thunderate there match, and all they’re missing is a big for Porzongis.

What happens if they flip their picks for Lauri Markenen, and Jordan Clarkson?

Holy Moly!! If that happens, the league goes through the Thunder forever!

  7. whenever simmons talks about another player who's 26, he claims they're who they're gonna be for their career, but with tatum it's 'he's still not who he's gonna be'

just funny, they've been watching him lose series with more talent around him than his opponent for like 6 years now and he's still convincing himself that tatum's that guy

  8. Such a bad take. Only players who played well this night were Tatum and White. Porzi messed up late game clock management. JB bad game. Jrue was absent at every point, and was the reason we loss. Jrue refused to shoot

  9. It's gotta suck to be Bill Simmons. Just when he thinks Boston has a real chance to win a title, up steps Oklahoma City and blows right by them. And Boston doesn't even have the Danny Ainge zillion tradable draft picks to try to improve. OKC will be able to trade first round picks for temporary very high level help every year from now until forever on top of being better and much younger than the Celtics already
