This story ir really disjointed. One minute Zorneth is walking through the ruins of Washington DC and Duncan is on a nearby dropship, the next they are both on their respective starships. How did that happen?

This story is a little disjointed.
So the human fleets lost everytime they fought. But now magically they have superior weapons and ships. Seems like they should of used that tech a lot sooner
So why didn't the humans use a laser gun that can develop the whole moon In one shot, every 3 milliseconds at 350 target per millisecond for every 3 milliseconds.
Equal wipe out 10000 ships and 1 second junior 350 hotter than the surface of the sun invented end. 2023 shared with the armed force of the United States of America invented by the navy and 2020 and perfect so much. That it's hotter than the surface of the sun.
Are there blizzard everyone in the bullet? Or they're blizzard, every one of their Shields. And a mere Half a millisecond and rip their ships completely apart instantaneously vaporizing everything that came even nothing, not even ash.

Yeah, this isn't a well thought out story. Weak plot, stereotypical charcters, plot mandated by author and the rule of cool.
I have… Questions. This story could have done with editing and some what's the word, where you make sure the story is consistent. I can't recall it at the moment.
I don't think if we had a fleet that could destroy an atacking enemy we would allow Earth to be attacked so brutally. I can see the value of an ambush but not at the expense of our home.
