The protuguese ruled in Goa for 450 years and their rule was more cruel than Britishers. In today’s video I explain how and why did Portuguese control Goa, how cruel was their rule, why did we wait till 1961 to free Goa and finally, how we freed Goa in just 36 hours.

Actually this dark reality needs to be highlighted through films. 2 films need to be made. One on the goa mukti sangram and second on the maratha resistance to Portuguese rule in 17th century through chimaji appa peshwa. The brutality of Portuguese rulers, their mass conversions needs to be shown. Moreover we need to change the name of the state too. Tis not goa. It is gomantak pradesh.

Although I'm a Modi supporter, thanks for shedding more light on this event in history. Nehru ji might have delayed action (for reasons mentioned in this video or perhaps, as Modi ji said, to protect his own image), but he acted decisively and fearlessly to liberate Goa in 1961. Kudos for being objective.
