It is ‘embarrassing’ that Australia is not sending Navy warship to Red Sea

Strategic Analysis Australia Founder and Director Michael Shoebridge says it is “embarrassing” that Australia is not sending a Navy warship to the Red Sea.

Mr Shoebridge told Sky News Australia that it tells you “how weak” the Australian military has become.

“Despite us spending $52 billion dollars a year on that military.

“The heavy lifting that needs to be done right now is keeping that key global shipping channel that joins our region, the Indo-Pacific, with Europe.

“Keeping that open and dealing with the clear and present threat from the Houthis.”

  1. It’s so sad that our military has become so weak and so poorly equipped
As ex army this disappoints me so much
But I’m sure if I went into recruiting and got all the woke stuff thrown at me I would not have signed up either

  2. From a historical perspective, Australia knows it will be in a "losing battle" with the Houthis in the Red Sea as it was with the Taliban in the Hindu-Kush mountains of Afghanistan.

  3. Well sensible decision, around 150+ countries requested for Ceasefire, except the so called world police and war mongering USA. Houthis continuously issued statement they will stop attacking if ceasefire is imposed. Blame it on USA, who thinks they are right all the time.. 1:38

  4. Your deputy PM might be saving you a headache for years and its a blessing and not embarrassing. Otherwise youll be rubber stamping what your masters want. But in general all Colonial settler states is bending over and racing like bloodhounds to please their Masters. You obviously did'nt learn a lesson at Gallipoli and lately Afghanistan 🇦🇫.

  5. Strategic Analysis is funded by the huge American military industry complex to promote conflict as it generates massive profits for their businesses. Just look at how well they have benefited from the billions being spent on the Ukraine war. We have massive issues here in Asia to contend with and it’s dangerous to suggest that we send our already stretched naval resources of to ever potential conflict just because America can afford to. We can’t ever secure our coastline so there’s a good case to be made for leaving this conflict to other much closer Western allies.
