The second Overwatch 2 beta sadly came to end…again. As the beta servers were closed down players noticed a weird string in the game chat. Some might have seen it and figured that it was an error message or a bug of some sort, but others know that the team at Blizzard are a bunch of cheeky buggers at time. So they started looking into this weird string and figured out it was a hint towards the next hero. Watch now and find out more.

  1. The curse of "what does the fox say?" is real 😭 xD Can't wait to finally learn more about this Kanezaka fox hero! Finally a new support hero to test out! 😀 I hope the fox hero will have a melee weapon! Mainly because then I have to aim less xD Great video!

  2. Yeah, my hope is that her design will be based on the scrapped concept art for Sombra – Omniblade.
    Most of the descriptions and informations we got about the Fox Girl fit the design very well.

  5. The beta seemed so much more inaccessible than Overwatch 1. The skill floor of all it's heroes seems to have been raised considerably.

    One of the reason I got into Overwatch over games like CS:GO or League was how 'pick up and play' it was. Sure you have no life Genji mains, that could own a match, but new players couldn't really use Genji well, on the other hand you have heroes like Bastion and Rein with decently low skill floors that even people that have never played video games could pick up and feel like they had an impact. I had a lot of trouble finding any heroes that felt impactful in any given match that didn't have overly complicated mechanics.

    I'd have no problem having a person new to games try out Overwatch 1, but I'd never have them try Overwatch 2

    Oh, and blizzard can barely keep track of cheating in the paid to play version, just tonight I encountered 9 people, 6 in a stack, and 3 others spectating, all in a call with the purpose of using spectators to keep tabs on enemy sombra locations, junk traps, etc. And at least twice a week i get that nice login message of 'thank you for reporting' against suspected aim bots, wall hacks, or people that might be running situational awareness software.

    When OW2 goes free to play, EXPECT a massive surge of cheaters and a serious delay in Blizzard to respond to it. It'll be like Apex season 2 all over again.

    I conjecture they'll probably port and use Hacktivisions 'Ricochet' anti cheat, after a couple of seasons out of desperation which, not only can it be easily defeated, often results in serious false positives for mechanically skilled players.

    I thoroughly enjoyed the beta myself, i just don't think, as it is, that OW2 will be new player, or casual player friendly, and I think cheating will be very rampant after launch. The sweaty try hards have won, and the fun is done.

    Overwatch, as we saw in 2016, is dead and I don't think Overwatch 2 will get any Game of the Year awards.
