I think Ned would reveal Jon's parantage to him (and Daenerys cause they're friends now), not to push him as a claimant but to reveal the truth (and let Daenerys know she's not alone)
If you’re looking for something to do you could try expanding north of the wall? Justify it as campaigns to pacify the wildlings or something? After all several of your vassals have asked for help dealing with them recently
Ned literally sacrificed all his kids and got himself kills because he had to have the truth know about who should be the true King. Doesn't matter that it would have been a shitty king or the civil war that he caused. Ned would 100% right now put Jon out there for the truth. Honestly it doesn't make much sense when all that was going on why he didn't in the books/show. (Guessing more because good ol Georgie boy didn't think of that yet).
"Love is the death of duty". The whole reason Ned has Jon. We also know Ned is all about the lawful heir, a la backing Stannis' "rightful" claim. Exposing Jons heritage and supporting his claim is the only rightful thing to do.
For extra spice, invite Big Bobby B to court before you do, who knows, maybe some event will play?
Daenerys obviously figured out Jon Snow's heritage during your feast. Why else would she make him a lord in the Reach? Just go ahead and officially announce it to the world.
I feel like if ned saw how badly Robert took his defeats, he may feel it needed to give some land to him to allow him some independence as he formerly had. (Possibly the neck could go to Robert while ned is alive).
I see a few people saying to give Robert some land in your realm, but if you think about it, dear old Bobby B never wanted to rule, he just wanted to whore and fight around the world while the Hand ruled in his place. Sooo why would he want to settle down in the far and cold North? I don't remember exactly if he said it in the show or the book but he tought about becoming a selsword and going to Essos. It would be cool if you could form a mercenary company with him leading it, but sadly ck3 doesn't have that function. Also i don't think it would be smart to give him lands, then later reveal Jon's heritage…he would be furious…who knows what he might do whit men under his command again while he is mad…😅
Move your troop raise point to your southern border so they don't have to walk quite as far. They'll take a little longer to raise but it's definitely worth it. The execution thing literally told you you'd become a dynastic kinslayer. Effects on you: Gain 6 dread, lose 100 piety, gains the trait dynastic kinslayer.
is it not possible to raise the troops anywhere inside your realm? So when going to war why not raise the troops at the neck? That way you dont have to travel from the far north of the north
I think Eddard has been taken for a ride by his vassals. All those 80 golds for the border are asking a bit much. By the laws they are vassals with tax income of their own to spend on securing their borders. They keep coming because Neds been a bit of a pushover about it.
Oh and the execution clearly stated you would become a Dynastic Kinslayer at the top, you just scrolled down without reading it properly.
You stopped playing before they added the Hostages into the game. You can start a war with someone holding a family member hostage but at the beginning of the war they can choose to execute the hostage. If they get execututed you get the following penalties for 5 years: – -25 dynastic opinion – +50% Siege time – -15% Army Toughness and Damage
Perhaps defeat was the only way that robert could truly win. He was locked in a perpetual sea of misery ever since his "victory" over Aegon Targaryen. He was never to be king, in the end of the day he was a simple man with simple desires. Defeat gave him a freedom nothing else possibly could.
You could swap characters with an interesting intrigue character within the dynasty, after Ned dies. Have more freedom to manipulate events from the sidelines instead of being trapped as an honourable warden of the north
You know I have never seen or read any of the song of ice and fire but I am weirdly invested in this story. That feast most have been so tense "Oh here is my best friend the recently deposed king and my guest of honor the Woman who took his thorn :DDDD"
I don’t think (in this weirdo timeline) revealing Jon Snow’s parentage is necessarily a hostile act to Daenarys; especially not at this point when you’ve earned her trust. Her current heir is still Robert, and I’m sure she’d prefer another Targaryen take the throne if she died; and besides, it’d be nice for her to have some family. A Targaryen alone in the world is a terrible thing…
Hey Mr. Streamer, next time you're in a war with the Tyrell (because let's be honest it's becoming some sort of tradition) remember you can raise local armies in your provinces, so you raise your men at arms with less levies.
You can also set a raising troops point closer to your southern borders, just in case you didn't know.
I haven't seen this vid yet so I don't know if this changes anything, but instead of Jon going on the Iron Throne you could make Jon go and aline with the wildings and make a house from that then down the line, a descendent of Jon could take the throne. I think it will be more interesting and kind of unite the realm
Let's be honest stark not just going to let the dynasty he fought tooth and nail for just take over and in the process humiliate his Best friend when it comes to revolution starks good at it so think he should revolt
