ok you need to make the grinch some kind of frost psycaster, after BEING BORN they lost their fingers and toes to frostbite, and then almost instantly you venture out into the frozen wilderness just to get almost bitten to death by mad woodland creatures, and then a man in power armour runs up to it and freezes its bleeding wounds to save its life. Gonna be honest, one of the best mods possible would be minotaurs, A because a minor reskin would give them massive candy cane axes and B, they come already milkable
I think the gifts are being sent by sympathizers still under Santa's regime, using his gift delivery system to aim for 'naughty'. Any grenade reskins into baubles? Tinsel garrottes? Maybe a wild Bumble we could train and armor.

Honestly, I'm thinking that rather than any quarry stuff, go a bit more cool and thematic with them being rebels. What do rebels do when attempting to hide out in the wild? They dig in deep and hide underground.
So my vote is that the next mod is Deep Rim, giving the ability to mine underground, and have another level where you can safely have rebel friends rest up and work. Avoid detection by moving to a small shack on the surface and have a full base underground. Chemfuel generators for power, mining not only gives resources but also space to build more.
Only issue I can really see coming from this (other than potential modding issues or lagging) is that it might remove some of the risk and threat as almost everything is safely underground. Less storytelling with super safety, but some storytelling with rebels hiding in place sight.
