Poland CAN Into Space! – Surviving Mars: New Warsaw (Part 1)

We return to the angry red planet! Though Surviving Mars has not received any new content in almost two years, the modding community is still alive and well, and we’ll use that to our advantage. The Poland mission sponsor offers a new opportunity to experience the maximum difficulty challenge from a slightly different angle… and let’s be honest, it’s about time Poland got their time in the spotlight! Can we survive in this brutal challenge?

  1. A scene from landing in Mars:
POLSA (Polish Space Agency, from Gdańsk) Staff: Hermaszewski (mission named after Polish spaceman), what's the situation here?
HERMASZEWSKI staff: We're now landing into Mars.
POLSA: OK, I'll communicate with ESA and NASA. Signing off.
    Crew captain: Signing off.
    (Few hours later)
POLSA: HERMASZEWSKI, to land, rotate the spaceship to landing position, so that the bottom will contact with terrain, Roger?
    Captain: Roger that.
(After rotating of spaceship to landing bottom mode)
POLSA: HERMASZEWSKI, begin the reversing of engines, roger?
    Crew member: Roger that!
(Rotating of direction mark and beginning of moving back into the terrain).
POLSA: The current data on the Mars: Localization of landing: (add it later), sector D5. Current temperature on Mars, according to IMGW-PIB: 78°C. Terrain: Dry. Water: YES, but very little, according to NASA. No more informations possible. Roger?
    Whole crew: Roger that!
Captain: POLSA, we're now entering the target, roger?
POLSA: Sure, please begin the braking phase of landing, OK?
Sławosz (one of crew members): Sure. Captain, begin braking proceedure.
Captain: Sure, BRAVO (code name of Sławosz).
    (Spaceship begins to brake)
    (Few minutes)
    PSLSK (a spaceship landing system) 10 meters, 5 meters, 2 meters, 1 met…
    BRAVO: POLSA, we've been landed.
Whole POLSA staff: YEAAAAAAAAAHHHH! We did it!
POLSA member: Congratulation, Sławosz, you're the first person on Mars!
BRAVO: Thank you, POLSA, setting the rover off.
