This story has such a Dunkirk feel to it. Great story 👏
Yeah, the moment i heard that the "federation" promised wealth and power, i knew that wasn't gonna end well for them.
A million Warships wouldn't that mean like 70 million Civillan Ships now imagine all of them with weapons…
People: We need help, we're about to be annihilated!
Other Governments: Nah, we're good.
Humans: We got'chu homie!
And let's be honest. If those attacking aliens were smart, they'd realize that if the smaller ships were captained by humans that crazy and ballsy, their bigger ships would be frigging terrifying in a fight.
Can you do voice of weapon😊
So, Dunkirk in space.
Bravo, great story. My thanks to the author and this channel for narrating it
Fu**ing oinions …
I agree with the other comments, excellent story. Hopefully mankind can aspire to elevate itself to exemplify these morals and virtues to really be galactic saviors we should be.
Would be great to have this small story become a book or three with a prequel to lead into the story, there are not enough new story's coming onto the market those that are haven't the soul that pulls into the story an makes u want to keep reading to find out what's to happen next an if wrighter has crazy turn planed, to the person who made this story keep going
too bad humans aren't REALLY that selfless.
The help given, not the desired help, was better than no help at all. It is better to offer some help than do nothing and be complicit in the death of many.
Very nice "Dunkirk" story… one has to wonder if this type of scenario might actually play out (or have played out) elsewhere in the galaxy.
For future editors: "Peeked," not "peaked;" "oars," not "ores;" "dais," not "deus." Also, the way it was used, it should have been "every one" not "everyone."
This truly is fiction. Humanity would never do that.
Send in the big guns & lets get that home back
