  1. It seems odd there were not more CCTV moniters and security patrols done. Some one has a bigger grin than the cat at the milk bucket. A lot of people would have had a tough week or two waiting to be paid.

  2. I was born in Murwillumbah. I was 16 at the time i got the lot. 😮
We all enjoyed the hoopla that went on after. A big deal in a boring country town.
I loved that a local shop keeper soon after had the T shirts printed for sale. I'd love to konw what the sales figures were.

  3. Loose lips sink ships. Granted this was 70’s style but anyone with the access and impetus could’ve reverse engineered who had the unique combo of intel and intent to pull it off.

You don’t knock over Murwillambah bank on the fly, you don’t risk exposing such specific a skill pilfering a bank branch less you KNOW the reward is well worth the risk.

Couple of strategic slings after the fact…. *slaps hands together*… the fuzz suddenly have bigger priorities.

  4. It's heart warming to hear Bank of America got robbed! They are some of the biggest thieves in banking!
I put three hundred in a B of A savings account one time and left the country. When I got back after six months it had around two seventy in it!
