SpaceX finally completed Starbase’s new sign: Gateway to Mars!
If you ever watched the film: “The Martian”, you will likely be impressed at the character Mark Watney, an astronaut on the Ares 3 mission to Mars.
His story is compared to Robinson on Mars, given that after a terrible storm almost destroys the ship and the base, the crew of his ship believes he is dead.
Alone on the red planet, he has to find all ways to survive including making water and growing fruit until the next mission to Mars arrives.
Of course, all of us hope that the same scenario will not happen in real life for any astronaut in the future. But if that occurs, at least that astronaut will be luckier than Mark because, at that time, Elon Musk successfully developed the Starship rocket, used to transport people to Mars at extremely fast speeds.
Starship is currently under construction, but with the leaps it has made during IFT2, we strongly believe that the day the rocket reaches Mars will be not too far away.
As if to celebrate this event, SpaceX recently caused a stir with a new update on Starbase, containing interesting facts.
Discuss everything about this in today’s episode of Tech Map.
But before we begin, our team extends a warm welcome!

  1. To make a return back to earth. Would there have to be a fuel depot waiting in Mars orbit? And how would you calculate the escape velocity? The math was calculated for earth. But how do they know what it would take to leave Mars and come back to earth? Great show as usual by the Way!!

  2. Hmmm ….. How severe is a Mars Wind Storm ? … If the Atmosphere on Mars is only 1/100th that of Earth ? …. 1/100th is pretty Tiny ! … But , if It takes a 50 + mph Wind to topple a Humaan on Earth … wouldn't the Wind on Mars have to be 100 times as much ? to have the Same Effect ? … 50 x 100 … and , what about the 1/3 Gravity ? … Those Martian Astronauts in the movie were struggling in , what looked like a 100 mph hurricane on Earth ! … So what would the Windspeed on Mars have to be to equal that ? … 1000 mph ? … Alexa says 70 miles per hour is the highest ……

  3. Elon has a dream for humanity for sure, but make no mistake, even if he were younger he would not be among the first to make this trip. On a completely different note, the AI sounded really good, with no mispronounced words,(that I caught) and the sound of enthusiasm and emotion was present. Good job!
