  1. Publix Thanksgiving meal is $70 before any extras and it is delicious. Honeybaked ham bone in small for $50. Harry and David meal didn't look as good regardless of price. The sizes of the Harry and David sides are ridiculously small for 10 people.

  2. I'm not a fan of the delivery food services, there seems to be a lot of packaging and plastic waste. Also, I got our fresh turkey from a farm I can see from my front door and could see the turkeys out and about a couple of weeks before. I paid $100 for a 33lb turkey which is more than the store but tastes so much better and supports local farmers.

  3. I have relatives that send me a fruit box from Harry and David every year for Christmas. They are great quality fruits but I know they are overpriced. You could have bought the precooked turkey and ham almost anywhere. Happy holidays!

  4. A few years ago we bought an Oster plug in roasting pan for a turkey at Wal-Mart. It does a great job and was only $20. It cures the extra oven problem. We are also in Florida so we use the roaster outsider for lots of things during the hot weather and it prevents the house from heating up. Harry and David is great for lots of foods, they are famous for their pears which are amazing.
