In this MSFS live stream, we take a look at JustFlight’s upcoming Avro Vulcan for Microsoft Flight Simulator. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at JustFlight for providing the channel a pre-release copy to showcase on the channel.
The Vulcan B Mk2 is an iconic, four-engine, delta-wing strategic bomber which saw service in the UK during the Cold War. XM655, on which this product is based, was the third-from-last Vulcan to be produced for the Royal Air Force. It was delivered in 1964 and saw service as part of the UK’s nuclear deterrent force throughout the 60s and 70s. It is now being preserved by a team of volunteers at Wellesbourne Airfield.

I’ve got a bit of experience with real Vulcans. I’ve sat in XH558 a few times and I’ve also moved the flight surfaces of XL426 at Southend.
I was initially involved in the return to flight project and did their first website. I also have one of XL426’s tyres, complete with scrub marks where it locked up, and finally a control surface indicator in my collection of aircraft bits.
Incredible to see. My only experience is having sat in a Vulcan at the Jet Age Museum near Gloucester, UK. Sitting in a nuclear bomber is thought provoking! The complexity was incredible so I’m amazed every control actually has a function in the sim
Supposedly being updated for XP12
Very interesting aircraft, especially for me, for whom British aviation is not native. Hope, maybe someday I will see my favourite British bomber – Handley Page Victor:)
