Fantasia Barrino chatted with “Extra’s” Terri Seymour as she was honored at Variety’s Power of Women in Los Angeles. It was a full-circle moment 20 years after Terri covered Fantasia when she won “American Idol” way back in 2004! She got emotional speaking about working with Oprah Winfrey on the new “The Color Purple” movie and revealed why she was initially reluctant to step back into the role she played on Broadway.

  1. I am such a fan of Fantasia. I watched her on American Idol and have followed her career since then. It is so wonderful to see her bounce back from the trial she has been through. She is truly deserving of all the wonderful things that may come her way. I am so excited for the Color Purple movie, I got my purple dress ready!

  2. she lying she turned it down at 1st this time cause she's in a different place than she was back then, back then she was some what free to live her life but now she's married locked down in a hetero relationship she's locked down in that toxic church and she's not allowed to play a lesbian again so apparently she got permission from somebody😒🤔🤷🏿‍♀️

  3. I love Fantasia and we looked so much alike, when I was a much more slimmer woman!
People would follow me thinking I was Fantasia.
I have loved this woman as a little sister ever since she started.
Fantasia is the Epitome of keep going, trust in God, and never stop believing yourself!
Love yourself unconditionally it works and makes a difference❤
