!!WARNING!!A TINY BIT OF SPOILER: You know I just realized when watch that xie lian most likely blocked e-Ming and lang qianqiu from hitting each other so that A. E-Ming wouldn’t get hurt(as lang qianqiu’s sword is capable of absorbing metals) and B. Maybe save lang qianqiu from danger(if he said that if they fought lang qianqiu would surely die then what would happen to him if the GHOST KING who defeated and killed 33 GODS do to him!?) also POOR E-Ming they no doubt watched/felt in slow motion what happened to Xie Lian, both hua Cheng and E-Ming are gonna be sulking for a while!

Back when I was first reading TGCF, I was a bit confused about his character in this scene. Then I thought now they're gonna end their friendship or worse become enemies. Despite all Hua Cheng did for Xie Lian, I was …somehow convinced this would put a wall between them.
Thank god I was wrong. And I still wonder why I didn't believe in HC back then. I guess utter devotion was a thing I didn't realize existed lol
Which makes the scene which hopefully comes in the next episode that much more important to me cause we will then know why HC was frowning. 😭

Hua Cheng completely outs He Xuan here. Calls him a subordinate and all (which I don't think he is?) Why did he torture him in the dungeon? Why did HX fire off the distress signal? What was the point of this little plot overall? Hua Cheng supposedly 'recognised' HX at Ban Yue pass, but surely he already knew what HX plot was so why the dark look? Other than to fool the audience?
This makes me solo sad dude cuss my funimations a count isn't working so I can't watch this episode 🥺😡

When this episode first started I had to go back and play it so many times just to process. This entire week waiting for the next episode, I though Xie Lian was just going to push Hua Cheng out of the way (and hopefully land on his lap 🤭). But no, my expectations were completely shot. He didn't just push his San Lang out of the way. Xie Lian hugs him, jumps straight up and practically twirls in the air (reminding me of the "dancing" in the Sinners Pit) then just pitches Hua Cheng out of his arms and lands like a freaking cat!! 😂😂🤣🤣 On a side note, I LOVED Xie Lian's intense look right before he jumped! 😍😍🥰🥰
