There is a new Chinese movie airing recently called “no more bets” that focuses on this topic… it is very realistic and horrifying, if anyone would like to explore further into the topic, I highly recommend it. The movie is phenomenal, and after watching, I came to this video and am amazed at the journalism here, thank you all for bringing more awareness to the issue of human trafficking.
Why people and media didn’t talk about northern Myanmar?
Corruption-riddled Cambodia joined Myanmar on my personal travel blacklist two years ago. Good confirmation here that I made the right decision.
There are bunch of ignorant people who didn't researching. They go there because they got an offered job from Cambodia so thats why they went. I dont understand these people.
So it is China backing Cambodia backing criminal Chinese, but China money came from criminal Chinese, their story is good enough for netflix show

I am one of their victim until this day, They feared cambodia so until things settled they have changed us to Thailand and myanmmar border, I don't even know this places. But the name currently we are in is KK park, its been guarded with militias, Now when we want to go out they say pay $1500 and then they claimed $2500 is our transportation cost. but if you are sold for another chinese boss then its very hard to go our because they will ask more than $15k
More than 9 countries governments knows about this and they are helping the chinese boss rather than protecting us. Now i can't try anything because the first time punishment is like electric shocks but second and third will be your kidney, am waiting for my government to rescue me. Thank you Aljazeera.
Not just Cambodia, the most famous place is north of Myanmar. Some areas controlled by warlords or the corrupt military leaders which no law at all. The local police station even got attacked by drones and the police were killed recently.

We also have this in our country. They hire people from asia with a promise of good job and high pay but then end up becoming a slave Worker to scam people from around the world. They pose as something like a online casino but in reality They are a scam syndicate. Our authorities are tracking down this human trafficking activity in our country and it seems like they collaborator here inside. Immigration officer will let them in no questions asked and the crime syndicate will pay them depends on how many people they let in. The people are just evil.
Number 1, Believe but verify.
Number 2. Verification may not be possible.
If Number 2 is not possible, don't fall for it. Value your life because they might take it if they can't take your money. Be smart.
The local authorities don't care, in addition to their own collusion, this is in the end a Chinese on Chinese crime. Whenever there's a rich country boarding a bunch of poor ones, its a recipe for really bad crimes e.g. US and Latin and South America.
