The story about hearing the hooves when they laid down, I had a very similar experience. When I was around 13 I had my bedroom window open because it was really warm in my room. My bed was up against the window and my driveway was right outside my bedroom. We have woods behind my house (there is rhe woods, a small yard then my driveway) and I heard something walking on 2 legs with hooves. It started at the top of my driveway by the woods, walked down my driveway and when it got by my window it stopped for a few seconds. I was terrified and had this feeling to stay still and not move, I even held my breath I was so scared. It started walking again down my driveway and I could hear it as the steps faded away from my house. I wouldn't move till I couldn't hear the steps anymore. To this day (I'm 34) I still remember the feeling like it was yesterday but also wish I would have looked out my window to see what it was
