this sudden trend of companies buying superchargers is amazing. Will this be the nail in the coffin for evgo and Electrify America or any other garbage network? we all know the supercharger hardware is more reliable…
@9:48 I'm guessing that citizens in the EU are in general much less exposed to the risk of multi-day grid electricity outages than those in Puerto Rico. There is greater incentive to have a battery backup on your home in some areas than others. You cannot assume Europeans will have the same take rate as Puerto Rico.

33:40 Silence SO4 electric "car" is L7e vehicle in Europe. It weights 450 kg and most likely it does not give a car like protection in the case of collision. Smart for two gives you protection and is not whole a lot of bigger size. -YMMV
Powerwalls are too expensive by comparison to other less well known systems that do almost the same task. You need to gather data on home power storage, especially by solar panel users.

Mr. Settlement can go ahead and pay the new price for FSD when or if he wants it instead of having it immediately when available. I don't expect a flood of people making this same choice. Tesla wanted to avoid some hassle, and the settlement guy wanted some new and improved difficulties I'd guess. A lose-win I suppose.

Guys you really need to update your source of information when you talk about charging capacities of batteries etc. I know you are Tesla fanboys but if you really want to deliver impartial news check out Auto Expert John Cadogan, an Aussie who is not only funny with a super dry sense of humour but does really deliver impartial FACTUAL insights into EV's. Also, your notion that EV sales are up in Oct is complete tripe. EV sales are down all over the world, there is a 2-year-old Porche Teycan that was £127k new now down to £67k thats not selling. NO ONE is buying EV's so please report in a more responsible way rather than just being Elon fanboys. Just saying. I do enjoy your shows though but just get it more real. Many thanks. Andy.

I'm a Tesla and Elon Musk fan. I own one. That said, how can anyone be so stupid as to pay thousands of dollars (or pounds) for a feature that doesn't yet exist and can be added at any time in the future? FSD, reportedly had dropped 3K in price since it went on the "market". I'm glad this man sued and won. Anything else would smack of fraud supported by the courts.

It's Volvo Cars that is owned (but not governed) by Geely (thanks to the mismanagement by the previous owner, Ford).
Tesla will pull out of Sweden completely. Musk will do it on principle. Doesn't matter what you or me think. But it is the most likely scenario.

If Tesla sells you a truck, but keeps control over what you can or can't do with that vehicle, do you own that vehicle or Tesla?
If Tesla sells you a feature, but doesn't deliver that feature for years, should they be allowed to keep your money or return only nominal value you gave them, considering the fact it's been many years since they took the money for non-existing feature?

Proterra is being acquired by the Volvo Group (AB Volvo), which is separate from Volvo Cars. Only Volvo Cars is owned by Geely. The Volvo Group is still Swedish.
Powerwalls aren't really necessary at least here in Sweden, I can't recall having a single power outage in the last 10 years.
If I were a UAW worker, the last thing I’d want is for Tesla to join the Union. Tesla could pay $200/hr, offer a 4-day work week and still be profitable. And if Tesla did that, the UAW would demand the same thing from the other manufacturers. And that would bankrupt the other companies.
