good forecast, thanks
Thank you for your hard work, Mark.
It is appreciated! 🎉🎉
So, it looks like i will be getting more snow ❄️ this Winter!
Any ❄️ snow will be more then the past 2 years in coastal NJ. We are certainly due!
Hope ur right i want alot of snow in WVa this year
Hi Mark, isn't it true that the atmosphere is not currently responding to the El Nino as it normally does or should? If that is the case, how does that affect your forecast?
Here on the east coast it seems once a pattern begins and tends to get locked in such as previous winters.Just about every storm moved west of the Appalachian’s.We ended up on the warmer side of every storm.Let’s see how it pans out, thanks.
GOOD MORNING . !!! THANK YOU MARK 4 all the very hard work on all weather. and the extras . !!!
Ha! Just watched a video saying the great lakes and upper planes will be well below normal temps with a polar vortex or 2 likely.
Crasy sun…..big change….one way look for 98 parallel.
I'm In Bryson City, NC….the "pink".
Question: do you have to have photoshop to use Trilogy maps? If not what can be used.
Thanks for the update for winter. I filled my ice melt bucket and brought it in the house. The shovels are out of the garage and in the back area of the house.
Gonna raise the BS flag on this.
The 09-10 season was the last year I remember a ton of snow on Beech Mountain. So I’m hoping for a moderate El Nino.
When is this all happenin? I'm in the Phoenix burbs and It's been warmer than average for November. This week is much cooler but no rain in a few months. When are you predicting we'll get some rain/snow up in the mountains.
2026-27 Not bad as winter in California for el nino, after promising December rain, we had multi dry weeks in January 2027, and February and March we picked up rain. Basically the 2002-03?
Look like Western nc will see some snow i hope so
How much snow could pinch wv get this winter
I live here in Whittier and Western North Carolina and everyone what's to know how colder and snowier weather is coming to our area
El Niño will be weak and -nao it’s impossible to have another super El Niño El Niño making climate change worst
Since super La Niña are rare that’s becoming the new normal
I hope El Niño never happens again
Great,video,thankyou,mark,you,are,the,Best,🎉
Let's hope WW3 doesn't break out!!! Or nobody will be seeing anything forever
I like the increased chances for snow in far North East Tennessee (Johnson City) thanks
The last time Albany saw 20% above average snowfall was 2017-18. Since then it's been 60%-95% average snowfall so they're definitely due for an above average year. Places downwind of the Great Lakes saw below average the past few years too. Places like coastal New Jersey had an above average year in there, and I believe Central Park and Boston had an above year in there too. Maine had some above average years too. . .
I pretty much had a bad feeling that Florida could see a potential severe weather outbreak this winter. The last time Florida had a High Convective Risk was on 1/22/17 we didn't have much Tornadoes that day but this type of event for Florida can be quite extremely volatile. Especially for Southwestern Florida.
Last winter (2022-23) was the 2nd warmest on record here in New Jersey since records began in 1895 according to NOAA with an average temperature of 38.6°F which is 4.5°F above the 1991-2020 mean, and NYC saw it’s least snowiest winter on record since records began in 1869 with only 2.3” of snow, an average winter (1991-2020) is around 30” in NYC.
Hopefully 2023-24 will be a lot more active in terms of snowfall and will be colder temperature wise. Hoping for a block buster storm too. The last time I got at least a foot of snow was the January 31 to February 1, 2021 blizzard and the last time I got at least two feet of snow was the late January blizzard of 2016 (Unofficially Winter Storm Jonas). Once foot snowstorms I tend to get three or four times every decade here in Central Jersey/immediate NYC Suburbs (I’m pretty sure) while two foot snowstorms I get once or twice a decade (of course give or take). But definitely every winter we should get at least two or three storms that bring at least a half foot of snow which is why last year sucked so badly lol
I remember the 2015-16 winter, very warm and like 90% of the snow that winter came from Winter Storm Jonas alone. And while most of the warmth that winter came in December, January-March was still overall much warmer than usual. Unfortunately that was an El Niño, but 2009-2010 also was and it was cold snowy for my state, so we gotta see.
I guess it’s just really hit or miss here in NJ because the Northern US sees less snow, southern US sees more rain/snow and NJ is right in between. But hopefully Mother Nature blesses us with a dumping.
I'm hoping northwest florida will have a cold winter!
