Anno 2023 i still found it FUCKING BULLSHIT that these day’s many games just come with an emty box (other then maybe only a manual inside!!??) they will only inclode a code in it to purchase it digitally,what the fuck of sense does it make to go to a store with the intention to buy a physical copy of a game to only find out that you will only find a code in it,well then you rather want to stay home and buy it straight digitally instead and save time,why on earth you ever want a box from a digital copy of a game?? That’s bullshit,
I consider this a sort of scalping practism from companies,even the so called ‘friendly’ Nintendo is guilty for doing the same thing on the switch, i was really pissed offonce i found out about this,not only that but just imagine if you loose your purchased code or somebody steals it from you out of your game box,well then you are fucked as you no longer can purchase that game, and you cannot prove that you became a victem of this shit,That’s FUCKING BULLSHIT😡😡😡😟😟😟

I was a hardcore vita boy. I bought one day one, got the expensive memory card, bought a shitload of the games, it was great. Genuinely the way I played Persona 4, Dragonquest Builders (which was exclusive at the time) and Minecraft. I even plat'd Hotline Miami 2 on the thing.
I’m looking into getting a second vita with a second 64gb memory card and re-downloading all my games just in case anything happens to my current one and the store goes down

Your comments on vita games actually highlights its biggest issue. Most of the "sony games" on the system were farmed out to 3rd paty companies. It certainly gave high school me the impression that sony didnt really want to support this thing. CoD, resistance, and killzone were all half baked, and that gave the system a negative vibe that never went away. Sony never could figure out they needed mobile focused titles not built like console games, and games that could drag players in (see mario kart, pokemon, zelda, ece). If youre willing to jailbreak it, its a GREAT system.
I still use mine. I have a Switch, but it doesn't fit in my pocket.
I don't like gaming on my phone. I need real controls. It's a pain to use a "strap-on", or controller with a phone mount. I want something I can pick up and play.
They really ought to release a phone more akin to the Xperia Play, or Moqi from Snail. There's a market for it.
People like to dunk on burning skies, I personally love it. Reminds me of playing FPS games in the early to mid 2000s and I think it's fun
If your going to own Uni you need to play her Games Neptunia. The Neptunia Franchise has a major presence on Vita
See, for me… I had a PSP. I loved it. But when the Vita came along, I didn't even realize it was it's own thing. None of the marketing I saw made it clear exactly WHAT a PS Vita was. I always assumed it was just another version of a PSP, like the PSP Go. So I never bothered even looking into it, because I already had a PSP. I didn't need another one.
Until like a few years ago when I saw some Youtube video about the Vita and I learned it was it's own console. Then just so happen about a year and a half ago, someone offered me a Vita, with an SD2Vita, and a Vita memory card, for $75, and I couldn't say no.
Annnnd, I absolutely love my Vita. After custom firmware, it's literally an entire PSP inside of a Vita. I can play any PS1, PSP, or Vita game on it, plus homebrew ports. Plus custom themes, overclocking, plugins, and whatever else. The Vita's currently my favorite handheld.
If you can afford it, buy the PS Vita! Especially if you have a stable job that pays well, it’s worth buying new/used games from online or physical stores. The reason for that is because your collection will be more valuable than having a modded PS Vita since you can actually sell these games and the hardware for a much higher price later down the road if you ever decide to sell. Also, there is a risk the ROMs found online can contain viruses, and/or cause damage to your handheld since it could be a bootleg or faulty copy of the game, and there’s the added chance your PS Vita may be permanently bricked if you do the modding process incorrectly even a little bit, so playing official copies is usually a safer bet in the long-term. I don’t deter or condone anyone choosing to play the PS Vita on a micro SD card, I’m just stating the reality of the hacking scene, and the risks you must be prepared and willing to accept when going this route. Imo, I would much rather have the peace of mind, my games and Vita are legit, and safe rather than relying solely on piracy, and personally I would prefer to have a physical collection. I feel like it’s justified to reward resellers by purchasing from them because for the most part they are keeping these games in good/playable condition and this is a job for many of them so why not thank them for their services in keeping the retro community, alive and well!

I turned on my Vita for the first time in ages last night, the music started up, and the nostalgia punched me right in the face.
Still play my Vita. It’s a great system with a lot of great games. Sony shot itself in the foot and blamed the iPhone. What a shame.
