Very much enjoying this as much as I thought, I was actually wanting to replay this game but getting to do it through your playthrough works just as well! This is really reminding me of why the Dishonored world is one of my favorites of any games, it is so rich with lore and world building, all told with a unique voice and tone that's very consistent and just fascinating. I don't think there's any other Lets Player out there as thorough as you are, that takes time to read all of this stuff, it's very much what we appreciate about you! keep it up
'Cries in Dark Messiah vibes'
The “Heart of a Living Thing” is one of the most awesome mechanics in this game series. Interesting how the outsider refers to the sentient being who’s heart it is as a “thing”.
So the reason you have 7 slots to equip charms is DLC: the Rat Statue, Whale Statue, Wolfhound Statue, and Fish Statue that you picked up in the room along with the initial set of charms all come from DLC. The statues each increase your slots by 1 and the charms are set, as opposed to the somewhat random nature of the rest of the bone chams you'll find, which are all minor effects pulled from a pool of possibilities. The effects aren't usually game breaking, so it's not going to make you overpowered if you equip the ones that seem cool, but it also won't cripple you to completely ignore them.
Fun fact: Viktor Antonov do work art design for Half-Life 2 and Dishonored (also Might and Magic: Dark Messiah and Prey (2017)).
like others have said, there is a ton of dialogue if keep pressing talk to npc's, there's also more than one secret while holding the heart, it can just be wonky to aim sometimes. Love that you started one of my favorite games of all time
Good on you for exploring everything! It is actually very much encouraged by the game
All that stuff in your room must be extra things with the deluxe edition or something 🥴
The supernatural aspect of the game is what sold it for me. I was much younger when I played so focusing on the environment and storytelling was not a priority for me sadly. But now I get to see this game through different eyes!
I knew you would love the LORE button!
I love the concept with the talking heart. I used it on every person I could. Enemies, friends, civilians. Gossip Gossip Gossip 😉 I believe you can get more than one line per person but you need to stay close to them and aim the heart without moving.
I enjoy your playthrough, but don't give up your day job for a singing career. 😂 Have you never heard the famous "Drunken Sailor" shanty? How you butchered the melody was something else. 🙃
regarding the tentacles in mouth thing from what you read, whales eat giant squids
love the non lethal playthrough
A full our and a half ep on the HP Pub reading lore… THIS IS WHY I WATCH YOU! This game's lore is pretty fantastic anyway.
Btw, you are king of special for the outsider. He is like the Devil in this world. Most people believes he exists, the chirch despises him and hunts his worshipers, but the greedy and the desperate cry ou to him for power. In people's dreams he influences them to sow chaos and violence. But not everyone gets cool powers.
For those with the will and the skill to greatly influence the world, though, the outsider offers his help. He grants you his mark, and with it access to some of his power.
So basicly you made a deal with the devil for the power to rescue Emily and avenge your queen.
Oh but make no mistake: You're not the only one!
mapo every assassination mission has a non-lethal alternative, if you going non-lethal in general you'll need mobility so spec into blink and agility.

"I like that they give you a Strategic Tips for how to utilize those things".. and I'm not gonna read Blink's strategic tips to be completely unaware how it works and how not to waste my mana
10 Strategic Tips out of 10
What a relief. Another badass based man plays badass game. I hope you enjoy it
I think you can find alternative way to neutralise the main targets. So, no killing anyone directly should work
Just a heads up the audiographs in the pub change every morning and night and form a decent ministory
