I was thinking fighting or poison/dragon for the scarlet legendary and steel/dragon for the violet one. They definitely look ridable and their names (ridon) sound like they refer to that somehow and it might work like riding Solgaleo and Lunala in Ultra Space. It also looks like it's possible the legendaries are actually the same Pokemon but from drastically different time lines as they have very similar features.
Id like to point out how detailed that orange on the ground with fuecoco is just realllly stop to look at it and you'll see what im saying

Update I did find what I was thinking I saw of Nemona in Violet colors. It is a prerelease screenshot, it is on Serbeii. Perhaps it was in a different trailer or something.
1:49 are they grapes or olives? I definitely think they look like grapes but just because we have an olive pokemon now maybe that means there’s game exclusives of olive and orange pokemon?
honestlythe whole "past and future" thing sounds dumb. They're trying to make the past prehistoric looking but the buildings and technology everywhere are the same as the futuristic looking stuff. If anything it means that there are incursions from the past and the future happening in the present. which means both professors are there together, same with the schools. this would also imply there is going to be a third legendary to represent the present. the fangs of the female teacher could represent that she is actually a pokemon OR she is less evolved and closer to pokemon. in the pokeverse people and pokemon were once the same, so she is a missing link

Older species of humans did have larger canine (they aren't really canines, btw, only carnivorans have those) teeth, but not for tearing meat. Human teeth in general are not great at doing that, hence why we learned to cook.
Like other apes, canine teeth, particularly in males, are larger even in modern humans. Apes use their large dentistry as a sort of mating display.

I always wait to find out which game has what pokemon before I choose a game. Like for Pokemon BDSP, I choose SP because it had my favourite ghost pokemon in it. Anybody else choose their games like this? Lol
Great video Ed. I said this on Johto Johnny's video on 5th march: "the main themes seem to be light and discovery/exploration.
My main take away is that the item in the Japanese logo's is a star- the ultimate light source. This could also link to the overall logo fonts with Scarlet perhaps representing a more old fashioned approach to discovery (by star maps) and maybe violet is futuristic? There is clealry an observatory on the Sagrada building. We also see a celestial globe and a modern globe in the live action section. "
It's exciting to me that I was seemingly onto something with the time. I think the legendaries further this with Scarlet's being (personally) reminiscent of a captain (complete with compass for the dewlap- not a motorbike wheel) and the Violet legendary being rocket powered or perhaps a starship reference?
Either way- I love all the new designs and co op is very exciting!
A lot of interesting info. I was a bit scared but now, I starting to get excited for the game. The legendaries designs are pretty neat. It's the first time I like both of them 50/50. The professors seme cool too.

I'll be honest, I don't get your use of the word "Gimmicky." When I think of something that's gimmicky, I think of the, well, gimmicks of the regions (Megas, Z-Moves, and Dynamax). Having a teacup Pokémon in the Britain region or a lei Pokémon in the Hawaii region is just thematic, I wouldn't really call those "Gimmicky" (Same applies to little olive friend). 😛
I’m super nervous now because we haven’t seen moves connect. I don’t know why that bothers me so much. I just want moves to connect like in PLA. I’ll keep cautiously optimistic. Also fantastic video, I definitely didn’t notice everything you mentioned!

Technically, it has not been confirmed that we are gong to some kind of school. That is just something people seems to have decided for some reason. Now I can see why, given the school uniform-esqu attire but still. Not actually confirmed yet.
