Love Jimmy and Simone was excellent too but remember this was a Selznick picture. These two were in the very best of hands — SELZNICK. What a master. The lighting, script, direction was gorgeous from beginning to end!!

This was a sad sad movie, shoot they were barely married before he had to go to war and then at the end I think he was dead and that she was hallucinating him. She and he were both great actors in this movie, he reminded me of Nicholas Cage

This movie was total fantasy. No reality at all except for staging. It is a whopper of a story, but so was Cinderella. So corny, but it is good. A handsome man and a beautiful woman find love in dire circumstances.
