  1. Fun fact: some species of birds (I don’t know about the one used in the movie) CAN breath underwater, especially sea birds. I think some of them can breath underwater for like 30 minutes I think!

  2. I did not care for Flounder, I hated Ariels dreadlocks that were not red and behaved strangely in the water. The ending was meh. I liked the most the scenes where Sebastian appeared and hated all the parts with the bird that was annoying as heck.

  3. These live action remakes really does show us the versatility of animation. I always heard about the versatility in animation, but had NO IDEA how much different it is, and how much more expressive it allows a story to be acted and performed.

  4. 👏URSULA👏SHOULD👏HAVE👏BEEN👏BLACK👏
I will stand by this until the end of time. I wanted to hear Ursula riff like a black woman, and I'm so disappointed that didn't happen. It was a childhood dream of mine.

  5. I so agree with the girl power thing. I am pro woman. I am pro man. I pro human beings can do whatever they want so long as they set their minds to it. That’s not my issue. My issue is the exactly it… by trying so hard to be, “I don’t need no man” they created this obnoxious trope that makes the women feel less real than the damn self in distress, or the falling love and having that be their goal. There is nothing wrong with that, there is nothing wrong with a woman being saved by a man just as there isn’t anything wrong with a woman being powerful in her own right and saving others. All of its fine, it’s the payoff, it’s the way you work at it and bring it life that matters. And the way they do it is just cringe

  6. I've never been able to wrap my head around WHY Hollywood remakes GOOD movies. Why not redo a poorly executed movie with a good premise, that barely anyone knows of or remembers?🤷🏿‍♂️ Instead, they take a gem and trash it, when they could've turned trash into a gem🤦🏿
