Why don't they take all the bugs out of the narration? This thing has so many mispronunciations and other weird glitches. I don't think it would be that hard to fix. All they have to do is type in somebody else's story and have an AI narrator do the rest. It's extremely easy content to make and I wish they would put in a little bit of extra effort. They can really separate themselves from all the other World War II diary channels. By the way whatever happened to WW2 Stories? That was the best one for a while but it appears to be gone.
I've listened to pretty much all of these narratives and have a common theme of being from the ordinary Wehrmacht or SS soldiers point of view. The narratives about being a POW in the US and whatnot are pretty interesting, and for the most part are pretty believable. The combat narratives are quite subdued and I'm curious how the author is going to deal with the various war crimes and massacres committed by members of these units that are being narrative. They give the impression of being a series of apologists narratives as they say that the invasion of the USSR was pretty much welcomed by the Ukrainians and Russians and a lot of the folks on the Eastern front as all of these people hated Bolshevism and therefore, that the invasion of the Soviet Union and all the war crimes committed were justified.
One has to remember that Germany started the war; it invaded Poland, France, USSR and other countries; not the reverse. Political and philosophical disagreements aside, it was the Wehrmacht in collusion with the SS they did the shooting with real bullets and killed real people.
If one read this narration as a running chronology of World War II, it would be easy to get the impression that the German conduct of the war was not only understandable but welcomed as the horrific conduct of many of those troops is only hinted at. Obviously, the allies are bit players in the narrations, but I'm curious to see how the author is going to deal with events such as the Malmedy massacre, the Warsaw massacre, the Babi Yar massacre as the troops who committed those massacres were members of the Wehrmacht as well as the SS; it wasn't "them over there". But I would think after so many episodes, that these events would come up in some way.

I once got to listen to Hans von Luck recount his experience in this operation. He was touring in the US to promote his book.
