Hi Ohno! Hope your day has been a good one.. I could not watch when you was axing that bear a question. I'm very glad your expanding. I was wondering are you allowed to have 2 windmills? Maybe one could go in the other village, well I guess you have 2 other villages. Anyway I love those windmills also. The more the merrier. Very good video, like always . Thank you Ohno!!!
I put my resource storage for that mine (which I called Bear mine since that's where I first killed a bear) just to the NW of the end of that stream. There is a little patch of green, surrounded by rocks in an L shape, and it is barely on stilts but, the walk in isn't stairs. It just walks straight in! It ended up very cool. It's kind of in a ditch, really.
I surrounded it with houses spread out thru the hillside that all have adjusted windows and doors to have the best views! That's what I focused my houses on, good views.
You never went to the south side of that mine though, I noticed. There is an easy path there that gives access to the backside of that mountain, and likewise, to the mine.
I put an excavation shed and a smithy there too but, all of the work buildings are above the houses so that they don't have to look out over their workplace. Then, at the very tipity top, I put a lamppost and a bathing trough, so that people could bathe under the stars without being gawked at. There's a campfire near the storages. No well needed, as there is the stream nearby.
I tried building there. Finding space was HARD i ended up tearing everything down and building down the road. It is a place i want to try again though.
Not sure if it still works (i tried close to a year ago) but if you build 1 or 2 levels down to start then upgrade to tier 3 you could get something to fit that would not if you placed the tier 3 initially.
Don't forget….there is a bear above your mining village if you ever need a bear. Yeah, thats not an easy place to build….I went quite a ways down the road to find a building area. The bear spawn will disappear on season change. Wambli's 'Kodiak Mine' is a very good name suggestion. Oh, and the new map/co-op update is due out Dec 7th … so you have six weeks to think about a new series. ๐
There is a spot to put a resource storage close to where you could on really high stilts. There is a path to the side of the fence you were near. I know I've seen people fit a resource storage in on the opposite side. Though I can't say recently so some map changes might have made that spot disappear. The mine building will have cleared the bear spawn but it being cleared won't show until the next season.
I dont know why you didnโt just build a woodshed by your new mine to save dragging the logs and planks up there. You can always destroy it when youโre finished building! ๐ For a mountain village I prefer the area west of Hornica. That area has loads of space, no mine though of course!

Maybe name it Wood Carving mine to remind you that the little wooden carvings are on top of the mine.
Iron Bear village would be an appropriate name, or Killed While Mining village. LOL

Glad your back on MD. It's fun to watch and you're so good at it. ๐
Maybe this Quest is about his imaginary friend. Be well my friend. ๐
Have to honor the Bear who will no longer Spawn to make this newest village happen – maybe simple as Bear Mountain

There's always something new. Managing the People will be more and more challenging. You'll need a secretary!
good 1 sir i enjoyed it thanks
Every episode is a delight! You might build smaller houses so you don't get over-inventoried on children again. ๐

Looking forward to your mountain village ^^
If it was me id go mv2 if you want to note it as a mining village.
Or id name it for locarion or something in the area: Lyda's village, center east /west, birch, lake side ect
Hey! Another well is just more extraction jobs for you ๐

Could you stop playing stupid with the metric system please ?
Meters matter !! ๐๐๐
(I canโt believe I had to evaluate distances in yards and miles to interact with some bloody British people ๐ ๐ ๐ )
I didnโt even consider kids growing up, damn so much for trying to have only 1 village
