this game is very neat, and the depth of the job sim mechanics and interactable objects are seriously impressive for a short little experience like this. I could honestly see this expanded into a full game a la VOTV. But the modern IOS text message UI for a game thats supposedly set in the early 2000s is such a weird inconsistency considering the detail in the rest of the game and it honestly annoys me to an unreasonable degree

This game really just made me want an in depth spooky firewatch simulator. Going about your normal duties, coordinating with the forest service, going on hikes, all the while spooky things are happening.
Also the inclusion of what appears to be a modern IOS phone with SMS really detracts from the rest of the presented atmosphere. I can almost feel the late 90s/early 00s vibe, but the texts keep pulling me out.
