Badd Medicine here and its reaction time
Set in a fictional universe where select individuals possess the power to telekinetically manipulate one of the four elements – water, earth, fire, or air – just like its precursor, the series centers on the unique “Avatar.” This individual alone has the ability to bend all four elements, tasked with upholding equilibrium in the world. Following Avatar Korra, a reincarnation of the previous series’ Aang, the story unfolds against a backdrop of political and spiritual unrest in a world rapidly modernizing.
The series features key characters voiced by talented actors like Janet Varney, Seychelle Gabriel, David Faustino, P. J. Byrne, J. K. Simmons, and Mindy Sterling. Noteworthy supporting voice actors include Aubrey Plaza, John Michael Higgins, Kiernan Shipka, Lisa Edelstein, Steve Blum, Eva Marie Saint, Henry Rollins, Anne Heche, and Zelda Williams. Many individuals from the creative team behind “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” including designer Joaquim Dos Santos, writer Tim Hedrick, and composers Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn, returned to contribute to “The Legend of Korra.”
The first season, Book One: Air, sees Korra move to Republic City to learn airbending from Tenzin, Avatar Aang’s son. She joins a pro-bending team alongside the brothers Bolin and Mako, and befriends Asami Sato, heiress to a leading engineering corporation. The ambitious politician Tarrlok enlists Korra to fight the anti-bender uprising of the “Equalists”, led by the masked Amon, who strips benders of their abilities. Korra and her friends, aided by police chief Lin Beifong, unmask Amon as a waterbender himself and Tarrlok’s brother, ending the Equalists’ coup.

Yall should like it when you get to know about Avatar Wan
i was waiting hard for this one
Quinn I get you want Aang to have an excuse, but your defense is not a good one. Aang could have easily taken all his kids with him and made time during the vacations to focus on teaching Tenzin
YAY KORRA 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is this a reupload ?
I literally just finished watching your last Airbender playlist, and was hoping you guys might get to this series. Like, I JUST clicked off the last video, so this is making my.
Might wanna rewatch ep 1 and 2, yall missed and outright misunderstood a LOT. Even things that were blatantly explained with 0 mystery
Please next react to these movie (Coco).
The korra break is already over? Let’s goooooo I guess the days just went by quick, I’ve been working too much to pay attention
Aang kind of fits into a high level diplomat maybe crossed with something like the head of the UN – but that added to the fact he had one airbender and felt he had to rebuild the nation so he focused on that one. So overworked, under great pressure and with a semi valid reason to focus on just one child….
I like to think that Bumi took after Sokka, as Sokka was around when Aang wasn't, and also understood him as a non-bender and was his martial practice master (I wish Bumi used a boomerang or a club or a jian sword to reference that), I mean, Aang's people's traditions had to be restored and continued, but Southern Water Tribe's ones as well!
These episodes are very topical on what's going on today…..😢
When are y'all going to do fast x ??
Honestly I disliked this season a lot more when I originally watched it than on a rewatch. For pure worldbuilding content for fanfics, books, comics and etc this season was crucial, specially with the stuff coming up. Season 3 is amazing imo, of course, but this isn't as bad as I remember it.
Invincible season two SOOOOOOOON WOOOOOOO
One important factor when considering how Aang was as a father, that I wish the show spent more time on, is the fact that Tenzin is the youngest. That means Aang was the last airbender, and then he had one kid, and he's not a bender, so he thinks he's fine, there's still more time. Then he has another child and she's a waterbender and he's starting to worry. Then he finally has a kid and he's an airbender, so at this point he's freaking out thinking there's so much he needs to pass on, so much he needs to teach. I'm surprised he didn't take multiple wives to be honest, because if he died before creating an airbender that's it. What would even happen once he goes through the cycles? Could he have an airbender child when he's reborn in water? What happens when he goes earth then fire and there's no air for him to go in???
The other stuff to consider a bit too is that he was raised in a monk temple where they don't even have parents, so the whole concept is a new thing to him. Remember he was raised by monks away from his parents. His parents are never even a discussion. So him even raising his own children is already him way out of his element.
Yesssss!!! Been waiting patiently, super excited!. Oak quoting and mouthing "Big…things…for…you…" lmao! I love how you guys were trying to decipher the uncle's motives. The side story with Aang's kids also was an awesome fill in. Can't wait for next week!
Korra so insufferable. Like all of Aangs bad moments but stretched out through out the whole series.
Omgg
Aubrey Plaza Is Eska Voice Actor Guys
Real funny that you mention she sounds like Aubrey Plaza, which would be because she actually is voiced by Aubrey Plaza!
Unalaq is one of the best villain/not villain ever … he has a point, a solid point.
Amon also had a very valid point in season 1.
Yess I’ve been waiting for more korra!
Eska is, in fact, voiced by Aubrey Plaza. Nice catch, Oak!
Book 2 is the weakest of the four. The first half is kind of weak, but it does turn around. Korra and Mako also suffer from some bad writing, and there's more relationship drama. It finishes fairly strong, though, despite some inexplicable retconning of lore. Push through it, because Book 3 is STRAIGHT FIRE, and Book 4 is very good. Some people are of the opinion that Korra Book 3 is the best book out of both Avatar shows. I'd say it's a fair comparison to make. As you proceed through Book 2, just remember: it gets better!
SOMEBODY CALL A DOCTOR…
Oh no! I caught all up… Sad face….
Finally! Thanks 🤍
I'd love to rewatch scrubs with you dudes
Eska reminds you of Aubrey Plaza from Parks and Rec because she is!
In ATLA we learned the original benders. For fire it was dragons, earth: badger moles, air: sky bisons, water: the moon I guess?
You should react to La haine ! It's a french film
I was SO excited to see your reaction to Varrick. He’s a bit of an…acquired taste. Took me a few watches to grow to love and look forward to seeing him. Also, I’m excited and scared to see more of your reactions to the VERY disturbing Bolin and Eska dynamic. 😅😬
36:11 I like how Korra got the same treatment from her tribesmen that she was giving Mako
Love the Edward shirt 😂 looking forward to your thoughts on this season! Great start so far
yesss there he his the man, the myth, the legend : Varrickkk😂
Korra parting ways with Tenzin as her mentor and her father in a way is heartbreaking .. I mean it makes sense for her character because she is hot headed and as a teenager who's trying to find your own way I guess you are more vulnerable to certain „influences“. Haha and I currently feel your pain with spoilering yourself😂 since I just started the One Piece anime after loving the live action as much as I did and ohh boy… the self control I need right now not to google stuff and/ or go past what covered the first season of the live action🥲
Now rewatching season 2 with you guys I think the political conflict between South and North is veryy intense and very interesting, more than I remembered. Very nice world building they're doing there with Tenzin and his siblings giving us a little insight into Aang's adult life as well
12:52 You'll find out…..next season😉
You touched a little bit on it in your discussion that it works for Unalaq's wishes to have Korra be neutral, but it's also entirely false for him to say that the avatar is supposed to be neutral. The avatar's job is to bring BALANCE to the world. Now, obviously, Unalaq thinks that that's what he's doing (or so he says), but he's obviously not. The world of Avatar has made it very clear that aggression of the type Unalaq is showing throws the world OUT of balance, which means Korra actually should be siding with the south, if anything, to stop Unalaq.
From a politial and worldbuilding standpoint, S2 really is very interesting, IMO. And it seems like you guys will enjoy that aspect of it a lot too!
Once you should do reaction of Disney animated Moana. It's wonderful
I love this book too even though it is not at the same level as the first one. It has many good moments, good story-telling and the building of old and new characters.
Please never stop implementing the WWE clips
8:40 Stand back! We got a hurricane coming through!
We have now entered the Varrick Era of Badd Medicine.
Jinora is one of my favorite characters.
I feel especially bad for Bumi. Kya was presumably at least able to have time with Katara and to a a lesser extent Aang learning how to waterbend but Bumi would have had none of that.
Plus as the first born there probably would have been an enormous amount of pressure on him and an even greater amount of disappointment when they realised he was a non bender
