America was frist with atoms/nukes.
Soviets were with space (at least around the Earth, as America beat them to the Moon. Except unmmaned which I'm not familiar with)
It is what the Cold War was and to be fair, I think America did weapons frist to bring WW2 to an end, not start another war ish.
Tech developed through the Nuclear Bomber went on to become the MSRE molten salt reactor experiment at Oak Ridge.
My grandfather worked as an Air Traffic Controller at Goose Bay Labrador back in the early 1950s… He has a bunch of photos showing these bombers and other American aircraft… He was a Canadian working for Transport Canada and his hobby was ham radio… Pretty sure if they knew he was taking these photos and had access to a ham radio, that he could've been locked up for spying.
Not that he was a spy, they were completely innocent photos, but considering the paranoia of that time period… It could've been very bad for him. Thankfully that didn't happen.
What stood out to me, is that the narrator shows how to not narrate a serious documentary.
Do not ever inject emotion in your performance! No pathos, no urgency, no nothing. Just read it with your normal neutral voice.
The script he got wasn't flawless in this respect either, though.

My old man was a flight engineer on the B-36. He always called the plane, "a one-way ticket."
My family and I saw a B-36 at Castle AFB, California, about 5 years ago. Massive airplane.
