My ELECTRIC CAR will be the DEATH of me! These vehicles have dEVastating consequences!

My ELECTRIC CAR will be the DEATH of me! These vehicles have dEVastating consequences! Are you asking yourself if Electric Cars are the future? Everywhere you look there’s an advert or a commercial trying to push you into making your next new car an EV well maybe it’s time to question why! Follow me on my journey in my All Electric Car to the GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt – The Electric Car Charging Infrastructure of the future in Norwich and I’ll show you my first hand experience of owning an Electric Car and why my EV will be the death of me. The Ban on the sale of Petrol and Diesel Cars in 2035 is fast approaching. The more of us that convert to Electric the more likely it will be that this will happen. The decision is yours…

  1. Hi Lee!

It’s absolutely agonising watching you drive a few hundred miles an EV car to your destination with careful planning to a charging point. What would have happened if your EV had run out of charge on the M11/A11 if there was a car accident? You are quite right we are well behind on infrastructure and will never get the desired point for at least another 40 years.

I live in Norwich and drive to London (distance 100 miles) about twice a year round trip using a third tank of petrol with
2005 Vauxhall Meriva, costing around £25 fuel. The journey time under 2 hours stress free. I really hope you one day get rid of your EV as this seems to get you down.
Keep up the good reporting and let me know when you’re next in Norwich so that I can buy you a cup of coffee 😊

  2. Diesel cars are safer than even petrol cars. The ignition point of diesel is way above that of petrol and for any petrol or diesel car to catch fire whilst stationary and turned off is very rare and if does happen it is down to an electrical fault in a wiring loom etc. A pool of diesel is so safe you can actually throw a lit match into it without it combusting and the match will go out. The Luton car park fire is an anathema. As I have owned and worked on diesel cars for many years I will stick my neck above the parapet and say that the fire was almost certainly caused by a battery fire. None of the extinguishers used were able to put the fire out, which if it was a diesel fire would be a no brainer. Moving on to the environment, it is a fact that CO2 is required for plants to grow and then produce oxygen for animals to breath. The more CO2 in the atmosphere the greater plant growth. We are at about 400 parts per million CO2 in the air we breath and in the past this has been up to 10,000 PPM and the world did not end. At 20,000 PPM it begins to get dangerous for the environment. The whole global warming due to CO2 is a complete scam but our politicians are totally tied into the WEF and the UN which is to stop people from having personal freedom. I am a petrol and diesel evangelist.

  4. I don't care about the environment until China and India start to stop polluting. I care about my having good stuff and cheap. 300 pounds to cover 10,000 miles. and just 15 pounds of that goes to the government.

  5. EV owners are swingers???? Noooooooo!!!!!!! It`s bad enough being a single male swinger without being bored to death by Nigel prattling on about about his "wonderful EV" while you`re trying to do the business!

  6. That was very bad that you can not se how much you have to pay when you are ready at the station with your EV as you can with a petrol pump, thats bad. something els you have to think about before you get a EV. I am happy I am a petrol head. I like your videos 👍

  7. I kind of agree 🤔having a small Ev for running around town, makes sense, but not for long distance where petrol or diesel should be used.
I also think it’s the government’s fault we are in this situation 🤔they told us buy diesel it’s better for longevity and economy, all of a sudden it’s no good and all they can do is put prices of road tax, fuel duty, road congestion charges and ULEZ charges etc trying to out price motoring for the working class. Personally I don’t think I get value for my money from the road tax I’m charged every year which goes up year on year, the roads are in a shocking state of repair and when they do repair a section it’s done that shoddy it’s cracking and sinking within 12 months of being done, at the moment this country is the joke of the world

  9. Lee this is your best most balanced view of EV’s in my opinion. However, as you say these charging hubs are the future. It’s just the people controlling the infrastructure just have to catch up and smell the coffee and get on and build hubs like those. On another point, the commenter who drove for 850 miles round Belgium on one tank full of fuel, is very please with himself. Just realise that the big fuel companies don’t want those cars or Hybrids filling up once every blue moon. They don’t make very much money from them. They want ‘high milage cars’ and drivers who stop and buy coffees and general groceries, they make lots more money from those drivers. That will start pushing up fuel prices as EV’s catch on. It’s just being legged up by Petrol & Diesel drivers who want to bury their heads in the sand. Your right. Lee, superchargers are there for any EV driver who needs to keep going, after all, just charge at home it’s really convenient and a lot cheaper. General driving to and from work is ideal for EV’s. Let’s face it, the infrastructure is in it’s infancy, and it will need to catch up big time!

  10. The president and Mr Sunak drive the cheapest way they can because they don't pay A penny for it, we pay for Sunaks fuel, and can you imagine seeing Sunak at the motorway services waiting for his car to charge, that's for the plebs not the privileged

  11. In the Netherlands driving petrol has became cheaper than driving electric, that's why the government is planning to increase the 100% fuel tax even more!
I did got me 16kWh of lifepo cells from China to store PV power at home, and for backup as our grid is at te point of blacking out(it almost did several times this year).
