1:38 I was literally wondering about that a couple of days ago, perfect.
good job Karl! I think your hosting stye is age appropriate for your age group, however, I did get a kick out of the Metal references and did appreciate the respect given to that wonderful little spacecraft named Cassini. It's a pleasure to view and listen to your program. Best of luck.
Still high speed rambling the content.
First time watching your channel, is space not your thing? The pronunciations of Huygens and Enceladus are really, really bad…Huegans and Enkaladus?
Keep it up Karl you do great video, along with your authors.
Why is Tim Pools clone hosting the Ad? 🤣
So simon gets his once a year sleep
Huuugin
great job, but as an ignorant American can you please use are system of measurements also pleases?
Top job Karl, really enjoyed this one 👍
I am not liking the northerners presenting, can you get back down the mines? ;p
Christian Huygen is pronounced Hoygan.
Enceladus is inselitus. Just trying to help out
Not bad, but he needs a beard.
Liked Karl from the start of his presentation role, and has grown more into the role and i think it would be a mistake if the channels he currently presents did not keep him.
When is Simon back?
Hell yea! It's Karl!
I really enjoy your style/delivery. The side bar commentary makes these really fun to watch. Keep it up!
As for birthdays: They are a social construct, and celebrating them would continue to be a social phenomenon, not a physical one. As such, pretty much any answer is possible, or a combination of them. But given inertia, we'll probably continue to use a normal Earth calendar even after we colonize other worlds. But if something happened to split off a world from communication with the rest of humanity, they'd probably change to a calendar based on the seasons and day/night cycle of that world, and start celebrating birthdays with that calendar. And there would probably be a period where people use both calendars, depending on whether something was historical/religious, or has to do more with the seasons of the new world.
New channel called Astrographics!!!!!!!
Ah, a mediahead narrator — my kind of science/trivia communication show!
Man, Simon's basement seems nice.😉
Not even a single mention of Star Trek The Motion Picture.
I know! Metallic hydrogen is wicked cool, the gas giants are all so much more interesting than I knew as a kid.
Toyota, do you need hydrogen for your fuel cell car? Go get it in Jupiter and Saturn. Plenty of them
Will there an update to the situation in itlay and their volcano?
Simon can have a holiday too.. he’s been busting these videos out super smart for a while now
Great presentation Karl, this is the first Ive heard of this hypothetical Saturnian moon.
It sounds like Cryalis would have had to be a fairly huge moon… possibly Triton sized?
Cassini was crashed due to Planetary Protection Protocols. It's mission was over and it's fuel running out. If left left out in the wild it could have struck Enceladus, which is a promising moon astrobiologically and contaminated it, hence it's final dive into Saturn's atmosphere.
Damn, the views on here have really dropped off since Simon left.
Isn't it Cronos? Not Cornos?
Karl, Simon may be more aerodynamic than you and I love the man, but I think my money would be on you in an erudition contest.
So is karl working for simon, just filling in or is he taking over this channel?
So I can imagine a sci fi movie script where a giant asteroid smashes into Saturn's moon causing it to crash into Saturn, then continues on toward the center of the solar system and crashes into Earth, causing the extinction of the dinosaurs…
idgas about how good you are as a host, Karl, but the Space subject was my favorite on this specific channel.
if you covered any other subject, i might have liked you, but you just haaaaaaaad to take the ongoing space series.
id care a little less if you werent living in an echo chamber too.
frick, couldnt we at least get Draven for nostalgic feels?
Looks like Whistleboy finally took enough Keeps to get his hair back :O
Really enjoying Karl's presentation of videos and delivery and relatable reactions and references 🤣 the Hexagonal storm is clearly just Saturn being a fan of WandaVision and the Hex 🤷♀️
Great video! Great presentation, Karl, thank you!
