  1. Am I the only one confused how they didn't have energy to finish an S.O.S but my man had enough to drag the body of his friend out of their tent and pile rocks on top of it….after stabbing him to death….with a 4in. knife???

  2. I think it's hilarious how people say O if I was n this situation I would do this or I would do that but honestly no one know what they would do unless they r actually put n that situation between panic ur fight or flight reflex and ur know how u can't honestly say wht u wud or wouldn't do n really any situation like I said unless u r actually n it

  3. As for the legal aspect of this, even when people commit mercy killings and even when the judge believes them, then still judges would be required to sentence them in order to prevent loopholes, which is also messed up.

  4. 0:20 I think I would jump out the window and do my best to go as limp as possible I mean if we're talking about like really high buildings where it more likely I'm going to die that's what I would do I mean people have survive falling out of planes or skydiving. So I would think that would be my best bet would be to close my eyes jump and think of another place and hopefully when I open my eyes I'll be in that other place

  5. First rule of being lost is to not wander around, you lose energy and make it harder for rescue to find you, but with the sun beating down on them like that its amazing they lasted as long as they did

  6. 9:38 okay what didn't you turn around and go back from the last point that you saw the last Landmark the last part of rocks that you saw when you turn around. Because if you turn around and go back to those stacker rocks then you got to be somewhat close to your car walking in the same direction I would think you're obviously going in the wrong direction so go backwards don't continue to go in the wrong direction

  7. 12:28 this is what not to do in a situation like this. Like I said in a previous comment if there is a landmarks or stacked rocks you are supposed to see and you haven't seen one in over an hour and you're supposed to see one turn around and go back to the one you were at then reroute there you go. Also bring a compass

  8. 20:31 yeah honestly most of the time I agree and I think there should be jail time. I think this is the first time I don't agree I don't think he should do anytime he didn't do it out of anger he didn't do it for any reason just to help a friend and end their suffering. Now that might sound messed up but that's a horrible situation that is a crazy story. man

  9. Someone should make a song out of this story kind of like the Sullivan boys or the emerald Fitzgerald. So in that situation I would not have done what he did. I think I would try to convince my friend we're going out the same way bro.

  10. I've heard most people won't jump even if the alternative is burning. Bc even though burning is horrific, it's still almost impossible to override the self preservation instinct enough to take an ACTION that will lead to death. It'll make you just sit there and burn rather than actually take a jump bc sitting there is passive while jumping is active. That's why even after they made trampolines to land on, a lot of people still died in burning buildings. Bc they couldn't make themselves jump

  11. True fact number one…I would never intentionally get close to coming near venturing into a place named Rattlesnake Canyon.
True fact number two…No one tells these types of stories better than you.

  12. A lot of comments saying Raffi planned everything to murder Dave, and it seems to make sense. However, he did just lay down and wait to die. What if the ranger hadn’t shown up in time? By that point both men had given up hope there was someone out looking for them. I think Raffi was stupid and way overestimated his competence, forcing Dave to waste energy by walking further and further when they should have just stayed with their tent once they realised they were lost. If they hadn’t spent so much energy walking so much, they might have had the strength to finish the SOS sign.

  13. I feel like if it was truly something the agreed too David would have written another note in regards to his decision if Raffe wrote a whole note saying he killed and buried David why would David not leave a final note saying he would have rather gone out this way at the hand of his best friend then the desert kinda makes no sense

  14. First of all know where you are in relation to your car. If you screw up here, try walking double the approximate time you think its necessary to walk to your car, in each direction leading from the camp. so East, west, north south. Its really impressive to die like this but you have to realize that people arent thinking straight when they lack hydration and are panicked. Thats why you need to have a 'code' like the one i proposed. Just what i would do !
