A doctor’s son is kidnapped in India, and the kidnappers communicate with him only through a beeper. The doctor must team up with a drug dealer and a manipulative woman in order to rescue his son.

An American Doctor and single father lives with his 10-year-old son. He is invited to attend a medical conference in Delhi, India, and since he is unable to find a suitable person to babysit his son, he takes him along with him. At the conference, he gives his presentation, and shortly thereafter notices that his son is missing. A frantic search does not reveal his whereabouts, and the police are summoned. He soon receives a phone call from the kidnappers, who demand a large ransom. They also tell him that they will communicate with him only through a beeper. Desperate to save his son, he has no choice but to agree, or else his son will be killed. He will embark himself on a dangerous journey through the seedy underworld of Delhi to get his son back.
The movie was directed by Jack Sholder, known for The Hidden (1987) and A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985). Harvey Keitel is known for Reservoir Dogs (1992) and Joey Lauren Adams is known for Chasing Amy (1997). Both have been nominated to the Golden Globes.
