  1. Damn this show was so good. Never in a million years did I think someone would make an excellent One Piece live action show…am I too crazy to hope for a Berserk live action…probably. I'd even take a decent anime adaption aside from the 90's one. ๐Ÿ˜…

  2. Due to nami's hatred to pirates, It's hard for her to trust luffy and the crew either and ask for their help. However, she said they're good people, and wondering if she can ever see them again. She wants to be free so bad and chase after her dreams. She has been going through hell for 8 years and she's barely 10 years old that time. Being around the fishmen who killed her mother, forcing herself to smile, sneaking to different pirates ships despite of danger just to steal their treasures and save it until she completes 100 million berries.

Luffy keeps saying that she's their friend and when Nojiko hears that, she said the most painful word for nami is โ€œfriendโ€. And nami has been crying secretly, she doesn't want to show her tears to anyone. And that scene is such a powerful scene. Aside from nami crying, and finally asking for help and trusting luffy and the crew, Luffy gave his treasure, his hat to nami.

In anime, it shows that nami is so obsessed with money. Sometimes, showing how greedy she was for it and make her look like an evil witch who increases the charge to her own crewmates. But, she never use their money for herself. She budgets their money and use it to buy them important things, plus, she gives them allowance to buy themselves what they want.

Money is survival for Nami. And for me, up until now, it's still is.

Arlong park and Nami herself sold me to one piece. I have this deep understanding on how her character works that's why I love her so much.

  3. This is called 'The Walk on Arlong Park', the entire sequence. And it's been done again in other arcs but this moment is legendary for fans as the first one and it's done very on point in the live action. The OST from that scene is iconic for anime fans. ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜

Luffy said he wanted "10 men…and a bird". So we'll scratch the bird off the list…."Mutiny". Can't trust a seagull.๐Ÿ˜

  4. Nami is the strong female lead I expect and love in shows, now a days female leads are just girl boss that their story is lacking. he was shown independent and strong, someone who does thing for her self on her own, and even when help was offered she still adamantly refused it, but the moment he felt all the hope and solution she work for came crushing and felt that hopelessness, she finally gave in and asked for help as she knew she passed her limits.

  5. This scene has received so much praise in both this Live Action version AND the anime. Such a great/emotional scene and they did an absolutely AMAZING job adapting the original manga scene for this series, keep watching and maybe even start the anime! Season 2 is already confirmed ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Ok all I'm gonna say is, anime is 100 times better….one piece getting hate because it's too long, but I think that's what's makes this story a master piece….. There's lot of characters are omitted and screen time for gin san also omitted (but I know why are they omitted), I'm really amazed, how much of a story viewing experience can change because of some minor characters, live action captured the core of one piece but still the way oda's storytelling cannot be equalled… My respect for oda after this episode…๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ

  7. Regarding Garp's reasoning for not wanting Luffy to be a pirate, I think you were talking over an important line during his scene with Zeff. After mentioning Gold Roger, Garp says "and look what happened to him. Skewered by marine polearms."

You're right that control is a part of it, but he also knows how dangerous it is to be a pirate.

  8. #just watch it, boys give me the thumbs up so they checks out the anime, live action wont be released till another year each seassion so you can wait like 5-10 years, watch the anime its worth it, live action was well made but nothing beats the OG.

  9. that final scene was THE scene for this season. All the people who know the anime knew that this series would ride or die on whether or not they executed 'Luffy… help me…' right, and they absolutely nailed it.

  10. Yall should watch the anime version of the walk to arlong park when youre done. Its so badass and one of the most legendary anime scenes of all time. Its notorious for being when most people fell in love with the series

  11. Garp isn't really a massive control freak. His grandson even ended up hanging out with pirates and eating a Devil Fruit bc he wasn't around. ๐Ÿ˜‚ But of course, he doesn't want Luffy to become a criminal. It's like the Attorney General having a grandson who's a mobster or a gang leader.

  12. That scene at the end is iconic in the anime. They really did a great job recapturing it for live action. So good.
As for the crew, remember in the first episode Luffy said '10 should be enough.' So you can guarantee more are coming. Wont say anything more here except bring the tissues cos we are in for a helluva ride๐Ÿ˜
My new favourite quote 'Look i zoned out cause he was pissin me off.'๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
