Escalators and travelators are and ALWAYS have been dangerous, particularly if you are in sneakers or sandals or other soft-soled footwear. In Singapore they are particularly fast and dangerous; one of them almost ate my daughter's foot after eating her sneaker…I had to yank my daughter upwards very hard to avoid foot-eating. To expect escalators and travelators to be safe, even if well inspected, is to be ludicrously naive. Please, let's all be realistic and careful. All means of transportation have their dangers; learn and respect them…for your health and the health of those you might help out in an emergency.

Then Hamas comes out and states Israel targets civilians . The Palestinians already know this fact , but are holding onto a piece of land, regardless of the safety of their own children .
