  3. The Mariah type sounds she makes are called squeaks. She does whistle as well. Another Mariah influence is how she moves her arms while singing. This is the second Wish Bus performance of Morissette EVER when she was just nearly 20. Her performance of Secret Love Song that went viral worldwide was a few months later. Her landmark Wish Bus performances like Rise Up, Akin Ka Na Lang and Never Enough were when she was 22 and her greatest Wish Bus Performance to date "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" was last year when she was 26. She always was a very exceptional talent but one can hear how she gets better and better over the years. A bit like a Martial Arts black belt who keeps reaching new levels of mastery. You'll have to go back to her The Voice Philippines "Love on Top" performance at 16 to see her not yet a "black belt"..

  4. That vocal break you're talking about, we call the Mori squeak. It's a temporary access to whistle register that some can do, but she's the best at. To hear her best Mariah impression, check out her cover of "Fly Like a Bird". It's what made me fall in love with her.
