Sorry for the scheduling mix up yesterday. This episode is back! Have a great day!
Hate to ask for help on a shack vid and distract from the fun but can anyone help with a bug? Game crashes every time the SSD spawns on the map. Doesn’t matter if it’s just being used or a story mission like the battle of Endor. Anyone have any thoughts?
please no haps untie you destroy very one because for start they would be build ships in my campaign there where at lease 24 battle dragon in single fleet and 12 and 8 in another fleet first see there military power then think about attacking them because you are weak after losses Invasion of Mandalore and empire is re building so go for them at last with you ships
Can’t the empire make governors AND outposts?
Kudos on taking Mandalore.
I think the next play is to take the Maw and Trandosha (since those backline worlds can be annoying to deal with), and maybe also Yaga Minor (since it is an Imperial shipyard that is rather valuable).
In general I would just suggest cleaning up additional backline pockets, Captain.
Edit: Forgot to say btw, love the series.
You JUST NOW noticed the Refit province looks like Rebel One? I thought so too for a while, but apparently NOT QUITE. Rebel One is actually Unique, a Mix of a Normal Providence and the Refit, cus Rebel one still has the TURBO LASERS but also has the PROTON BOMBS. She is a bit fragile once the shield goes down but GAWD DAME she puts out so much freaking damage!
The Refit Providence can be easily nullified by any ship with the Missile Jammer, since its got nothing but Torpedos and Bombs for weapons.
the fact that autoresolve belives a few corvettes can beat what is effectively a battleship is ridiculous
it would be cool if by capturing Kamino and Rothana you could recruit clone troopers and build clone wars era vehicles.
OH MY GOD SHACK WHY DO YOU HAVE NO GARRISON GUARDING YOUR SUPPLY DEPOTS?! For the Record your Factories Becomes a Garrison post when you convert the Barracks into a Supply Post.
I think you should the core world's hard.
Go liberate Corsant.
Shack you gotta pick up that third Bakuran Destroyer for the SSD fleet! If the imperials build up a force big enough to counter it, and they have an interdictor, it might save the day.
CAPT you need to take AARGAU that way you have a full on blockade for Kuat so you won't have to worry about an IMP attack for you'd have a heads up warning aka one of those worlds being attacked, plus if your able to get shipyards and high tear stations on them, Kuat can make maybe one or two medium to Large Cap ships for defense and being so close the SSD can be used as Reinforcements. Make it cost them to attack. But you could also take that small fleet on RATTATAK and keep it on AARHAU as a permanent defense fleet. And give you a staging point to attack CORUSCANT. Love your videos and have been watching you for nearly a decade now and will continue for time to come.
There was a capturable ship in the bottom right shipyard!!!!!!
have you considered making like a pro/con and recommendations video for the sort of main SW:EoW mods. As someone who only recently learned that this game is still alive and has a modding scene i'm interested in maybe getting it just for them but would love to see like mod comparisons and what the major mechanical differences are without just diving into a bunch of separate videos and i think other ppl would be interested too especially if the game blows up like some old games have recently-
Worth the wait
I'd say take out Yaga Minor and The Maw next. Both of those have shipyards for the Empire just kind of sitting precariously next to some valuable worlds like Kessel, The wheel, Mulinist. Last thing you want is a surprise ISD fleet from the Maw popping out to say bippity boppity Kessel's my Property.
My current Empire Campaghin has an air born of shock troopers, Gunships Both LAATs and the Imperial ones, Ties and the Nicer ties (Can't remember what they are called) but they are great for storming enemy positions and securing the major defenses of the planet before the enemy can, its always fun to watch regardless of who your playing to watch your boys performing their own Operation overlord/ Search and Destroy missions every time they land.
This has likely been said, but If your going to take out the Empire and the Black Suns, you might as well take out the Hapes and get that victory screen
The Taris fleet did its work !
Albeit with heavy losses… may the memory of those lost in battle live on!
Lol watching him lose huge losses in winnable battles is the best part
Finish the black sun
Don't forget the Zhar mission, Shack!
Isn't fondor Capital Ship yard
It would seem Thyferra is the Black Sun's last real stronghold.
Burn it.
– We killed the Providence! Yes!
-The Crew of Quasar in the escape pods: 🤨
Clear out the South.
The best part about this video is he put a blind man in charge of an air assault group.
Do the Endor mission so that you can get the tech 4 and 5 units.
that Auto Resolve was beautiful
This episode was chaos
Admiral's Log
Admiral Davon Cress, CO of MC 80 'Independence' – Class "Phoenix".
Alliance Phoenix Detachment, currently orbiting Ord Mantell.
Both Shack and Ackbar have been laying out plans for the Siege of Mandalore for maybe months now. It was decided that the Liberation QRF would be the attacking force given their fleet composition. Preliminary scans of the orbit showed their defense stations being rather… scattered. From what I hear, Shack contacted a few Mandalorians to take to orbit in order to give our ships accurate hyperspace coordinates. The Liberation and Rebel One were the first to arrive. The plan was to divert the black sun's attention away from the southern reaches of their space. Well, that plan certainly DID work.
Instead of sending a detachment of ships, the Black Sun committed their entire force to defend the isolated defense station. Saber Squadron turned the ensuing furball into our favor. According to this here report, their kills range around 15-25 per squadron member. Around the same with Rogue Squadron. As the bulk of the enemy forces began to engage, the two Dauntlesses alongside a few escorts took on their now undefended Firestar battlestation. Realizing the full extent of what was happening, the pirate's commander recalled their defense fleet, leaving a few ships to defend against the Liberation and Rebel One. I suppose they underestimated our ships, as both the Liberation and Rebel One began to wreak havoc on their escorts, and were now bearing down on their backline.
The Dauntlesses, however, began to face the entire defense fleet, now charging straight towards them. As the previous commander of one such Dauntless, this was their exact purpose. Tanking shots and returning the favor. However, to much our dismay, both Dauntlesses were outnumbered. Both captains performed a valiant last stand. Radio comms coming to and from the ships were… chaotic to say the least. There weren't any cheers when an enemy ship exploded into a fireball. All those men did was fire, reload, and repeat. Losses mounted for the black sun, with ships detonating left and right as our Dauntlesses' guns rained fire. Our escort fleet began to jump in to save them. Focusing on point defense to deal with the sun's starfighters, which were the ones dealing the bulk of the damage. Despite reinforcements, the black sun's fleet continued to take losses.
Unfortunately for us, we lost both Dauntlesses as well as the majority of the escort fleet. However, with the Liberation and Rebel One tearing through their command stations, as well as the complete breakdown of the sun's command structure, what was left of their fleets scattered about. Ackbar began to hunt down what was left of their forces, now blindly hyperspacing around the galactic east. While Ackbar was able to mop up what was left over Trandosha, The Phoenix too also gave chase, catching a few of their ships over Ord Mantell. I… wasn't able to catch them in time though. Their battered forces made the getaway before we could bring the ship close enough to fire. What I would give for an interdictor in this fleet.
The ground battle was… quite easy, surprisingly. Rogue Squadron led a strike against their power generators, crippling the black sun's defenses. General Kota landed his transports into the black sun's main base, taking them by complete surprise. After that, it was mostly a mop-up operation, with the Black Sun fighting a guerilla war against our forces. As the last black sun holdouts were finally eradicated, the Battle of Mandalore finally came to a close. A major victory for our forces. We may now turn our attention westwards to the core, and perhaps fulfilling Skywalker's request, the capture of Ilum.
I suppose I should address what the empire's been up to. A scrambled SOS report came from Mustafar. The local garrison has been engaged by imperial Storm Commandos who had snuck onto a transport with alliance IDs. While we did win the battle, it's interesting to note that the Imperials are starting to use tactics akin to the early rebellion's strategies. From gaining the starfighter advantage through cheap ships, and now raids? The Empire does seem to be learning from us. That starfighter advantage that they're trying to exploit is a danger to our core fleet. I encourage command to send picket ships to the core fleet to deal with the now-growing threat to our forces in the area. For now though, we'll be readying the ship to give chase to black sun remnants once more. Admiral Davon Cress, signing off.
[And Shack, for the love of god, you gave me a heart attack for a moment there.]
Seeing all the abilities on autocast tho hurts
