I had a golden retriever for 13 years, and she was as lovely as could be. However, she had boundaries. The biggest one was no begging at the dinner table. She came when you called her, but more importantly, she left when you told her to go because she was being a pain in the ass. This was extremely rare, but it was important. This dog is extraordinarily spoiled and is a pest. An adorable pest. The dog has no boundaries because the owner has no boundaries. The idea of your dog coming to my dinner table in a restaurant, jumping on a chair and staring at me is Preposterous. Get it together.
So Huxley just convinced me that whenever years down the road I adopt a new pup… I just might have to open up and consider a golden if life permits. Much bigger breed than I would normally dare to take on, but you can’t help who you love 😆
I wonder if the owner has considered having Huxley become a therapy dog that goes into nursing homes and/or hospitals.
I like dogs but I don't like to see dogs on public transport seats, same as I don't like to see people put their feet on seats.
What about the fur it leaves on the seats? I guess he cheers you up so much, when you find your allergies activated, you wont feel so bad about it! 😂
If you get a dog, just for the sake of getting a dog, and not for some specific type of job like hunting or guarding, a Golden Retriever is the only right choice. The best dogs man
