GB News has launched an investigation into “totally unacceptable” comments made by Laurence Fox about a female journalist during a broadcast.
Fox made a series of remarks about Ava Evans, the political correspondent for online news site Joe, including describing her as a “little woman” during an episode of Dan Wootton Tonight on Tuesday.
Ms Evans shared a clip of the comments on social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, with the caption “Laurence Fox just did a whole speech on GB News on why men apparently won’t shag me?” which has been viewed more than 2.1 million times.

These little men are after controversy and attention as so many of them are today. Little narcissists; entitled personalities. We've all met a few and learned how to keep them at arms length. Can't stand Laurence Fox and it was a weird thing to say even in the context of the discussion they were apparently having, but even so, was it so weird and offensive or distasteful as to neccessitate his sacking ? Not really, no but oh well suppose. It is what it is.

I don't understand – it's a crime to call someone a little woman? People have described people as a little man or little woman since forever. It's a descriptive term, not an insult. Maybe the truth is that Ofcom, as a regulatory body, now is deciding what terms of speech we cannot use, which very much sounds like they are removing the right to free speech from GB News.
