Sounds like he may have the form of dementia called BPSD. This is the type of dementia where people get violent. This normally happens when a person has had dementia for sometime. This is very bad.!!
You should put one of Sherpas old blue bed mats on the decking then he'll know to lay out there when it's raining.

We had the storm in Cromer too.Big lightening bolts and crashing thunder. Our cat zoomed in just before the first lightening strike and tucked herself away. Sherpa is'nt bothered❤
