The only good thing about white plastic packing straps is that they’re easy to spot, and we usually find them early before the seal is hurt. Many people have suggested focusing the camera on the free seal running to the water more often after the rescue. We understand that everybody loves the moment the animal is free, but our mission is to raise awareness for the global plastic crisis. The focus must stay on the entanglement, not the happy ending. For most marine animals, there is no happy ending. 🦭
