Can You Beat YuGiOh Forbidden Memories With An Insect Only Deck?

The Rex and Weevil duo is complete! Hope you all enjoyed the segments that use the PocketStation. Getting that thing to work without a manual is a headache, not to mention the effort it takes to convert JAP/NTSC/PAL save data each time I use it.

  1. I would like to see a fiends playthrough – it's like the slightly less viable cousin of twin headed thunder dragon decks, with unique bonuses in the yami field matchups. It's probably the one you'd go to for a "unique" playthrough without embarking on CBT torture with pocket stations. A plus is that you are yami yugi.

  2. https://youtu.be/FtGQHqHTPx8?t=2620 "i need to be careful because he might raigeki us" i the opponent begins their turn with no monsters on the field while you have at least one monster they will never fusion, set, or cast a spell and always summon the strongest monster in their hand
the idea of "if you kill their first monster they will never play anything stronger than it" is mostly true and due to this fact

turn 1: you play big beaty boy
turn 2: oppo can't beat over big beaty boy so they play their strongest monster in defense position
    turn 3: you beat down
turn 4: oppo draws one card and it's probably not stronger, so they play their strongest monster

  3. If you ever do a run with aqua only, a little known fact about frog the jam is that its not called that in the Japanese version and whoever was in charge of translating it for the game named it after the actual frog brand jam for the lols of it, it was meant to be slime toad and was able to use frog archetype support pre 2016

  4. this is really cool! this is the first video i've seen from you and i think the humor you put in it is really funny, and the whole mini insect extermination story too – I can't wait to see more!

  5. Funny enough, I recently was thinking about playing this game again and wanted to see if anyone had done any videos on in only to find your stuff. You've got a good idea and the layout of your videos is solid, definitely see a lot of potential in it and looking forward to future videos. I guess maybe try a zombie type some time? 🤷 Or even just using the deck of any of the AI in the game, that might be cool too.

  6. Thought the video was great. I'd like to go in to detail about the enemy mechanics

The game basically randomizes a 40 card deck. Ill use seto 3rd as an example. In this 40 card deck. He has a high chance of putting in a blue eyes ultimate dragon. And based off the odds. He almost always will. However, there is a chance he may not play it. But. If he starts with gate guardian as an example. He can always go up to a blue eyes ultimate dragon. When you play fm, you only have 5 cards in your hand. But the enemy you face will either have between 15-20 cards in their hand at once. Which is why the harder people almost always play theyre strong monsters. They are cheating lol.

    Some smaller notes
-Seto 3rd can only play one trap which is widespread ruin.
-Nitemare cannot play magic cards. Only monster cards.

Ai tips: the AI will not fuse, or play magic cards if they are not in control. Unless they already have a magic card facedown on the field.

They will fuse however if there are no monsters on either side if the field, or if they are in control

And they may only equip if they are in control. Or again if there are no monsters on either side of the field

If they have a monster on the field, and you have one with a higher original attack then their strongest original attack stat, they may play a magic to either get rid of it, weaken it, or equip something they have so its stronger

If I said anything you know I do apologize. I just wanted to give you some tips. I hope these help and keep up the phenomanal content my dude! Love this type of content!

  7. Unrelated to my vote (Hence why I'm doing a second besides to artificially boost algorithm lol), your runs here in Forbidden Memories has gotten me to start doing these runs personally in Yugioh the Sacred Cards for fun lol.

Dragons is fun but damn they get expensive in terms of deck cost fast. Now I'm on warriors.

  8. Loved the two runs we got, sad we didnt see a cameo from sa_rah this time. As for my vote id say pyro cuz we cant use up all the super hard runs like ritual just yet

  9. Great series so far – I agree with everyone acknowledging the effort you're putting into these! Learning Japanese to legitimately acquire the cards and transferring your saves to English via PS2 console commands is something else 🤯

  10. Fun insect-related fact about the brazilian Yu-Gi-Oh anime: Because of a mistranslation from the english dub to portuguese, the Ultimate Great Moth was translated as Ultimate Great *Mouth*. If you think mistranslations are bad, try watching an anime that got its translation from a translation 😂
edit: also moth and mouth sound NOTHING alike in portuguese, so no one knew what the heck they were talking about until a bigass moth got out of the coccoon.

  11. Great videos,

Tho it’s funny that you make fun of a football teams fans for not pronouncing a name right when you pronounce manga incorrectly like 6 times in the video. You don’t pronounce it like the word mango, you pronounce the a with an Ah sound instead. Weebs always fuck this up.

Fun videos nonetheless, this game was some bullshit when I was younger

  12. Been enjoying this series immensely. Since we kinda did Rex, Weevil, and Mako's signature monster types, perhaps it's time to do another jobber of duelist kingdom. Could be a ton of fun to see a zombie only run. Bonz represent.
