What do you make of our engine choice? 🤔Thank you to Carly for sponsoring this video! Get 15% off your Carly purchase with code "DRIVETRIBE15" before 15th October when you click – bit.ly/drivetribeoffer
Very doable. People put hellcat engines in na miatas. So its going to fit.
Using a BMW Z4 E85 would be much easier as there is plenty space in the engine bay. Furthermore you would have a far better weight balance. Not to mention how much body flex you will have in that MX-5 with all the added weight and torque/power.
Air suspension would be sick. Especially for something so custom.
Freddy mercury with a skinhead. Please tell me that moostash is in preparation for movember🥸
Stick to growing a beard, Scottish bald Freddy Mercury… 😆
Should have put a 1LR-GUE in there lol
Im joking btw
I may have mentioned this before…..more than once on your project videos…..but I make tubular Mx5 subframes , thats what I do…..
Audi's WEC (Le Mans) car had microtube radiators. Better performance in a equal sized package or equal performance in a smaller package. Forget who makes them, but there's surely off the shelf versions available
If you're looking for a custom radiator, check out DeltaPAG. We make complete drop-in custom cooling assemblies
That 'tache REALLY doesn't suit you buddy
In the US thers a company that puts ford v8 in a miata
team kenya
Hmmmm….sidepipes, small sports car with mahoosive engine shoehorned in…. modern day cobra sc427. Go on flare those arches and get some halibrands
If this works out, i'm tempted to put it in my van
I wonder which will complete first… the V10 MX5 or Project Binky?
The absolute best in radiators IMO is Mishimoto.
Lol, that'll understeer like crazy with that very heavy engine upfront.
I don't have anything to say about the V10, what I do have to say is that I hate Mike's mustache SO MUCH
Stop talking do much
This is sick love weird swaps, I’m putting a m62 in my Miata!
He's always had a mush tash right?
I’m about to use a e36 aluminum rad in my Miata for my m62 swap, fits surprisingly well
Still not sure why you bought the mx5, when you needed a whole v10 bmw and to wedge some Mazda body panels on it?
love your drill sergeant stash
Would have like to seen this go in a Z3
Awesome. Thank you for making and sharing this. Well done! Inspiring stuff.
Manual just because it's more fun, and more driving. Why would you want to do half the driving? I never understand people that argue for auto's while pretending to be driving enthusiasts.
At no point has anybody mentioned cost? Out of reach to the regular guy (or lady) like me!!
8:01: "Activating moustache detection mode " ……BEEP BEEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP !
Also the Hellcat miata @DIYgang
This car needs a piston zero mx5 widebody! It would be beautiful
You could chain multiple radiators together and have a scoop or a vent somewhere to get airflow through a second one
That stache screams "for our next project, a turbo charged white panel van with free candy custom painted on the side" 😂
Koyorad Miata radiator with flying Miata pwm fan will keep it cool for sure
