  1. Love videos like this. This is y games suck now a days. Nothing in life is perfect. And I love when average money makin ppl. Try n tell ppl on a different level advise. like they need it. Like there was nothing else to do before the deadline then worry about how much the 20% actually is if u geek out for days about the numbers. Give me a break

  2. The difference 240 dividing by the original 1500 is not 2.4%….240/1500 = 16%

If you take the base as 1200 (the heavy mitigated here) and the difference of 240. 240/1200 = 20%

I agree heavy is better, especially for non ranged, but these tests are just using bad math and tossing it onto a word doc.

  3. This is by and large a pvp vs pve issue. Rolls more than make up for this in pvp, but with dodges not being that useful in pve activities(alot of stand and smack), it needs that damage
Shows the poor design of the fundamental direction.

  4. I'm sooooo tired of all these YouTubers going heavy armor with hatchet and pressing left click for 60 hours straight lifestealing through the game then complaining how boring it is. It's an RPG do what you want and have fun jeez…

  5. A major factor you haven't considered is the amount of stamina used when performing the dodge movement. Heavy dodge uses a lot more stamina and has to be charged for longer between dodges.
A medium or light build is essential with 200 intelligence.

  6. am i dumb or does this guy not get how percents work? a 240 damage increase from 1200 to 1440 is still a 20% increase, not a 2-4% increase like stated in the document, and these numbers dont change whether you apply the damage reduction first or last

like srs, am i missing something?

  7. Am I missing something? The stated document seems misleading. 240 is 4.8% of the stated 5k hp target sure, but 1440dmg is 20% more than 1200 which is a 20% buff. Talking about the percentage damage increase that I do, not the percentage of health dmg per hit.

  8. Bro this video is not it. I dont have light armor for "omg more dmg"

I have it because I'm fast and can kite out the entire world. Who gives a shit how much dmg you take if you can avoid it entirely.

  9. Damn, no wonder my build hits like a wet noodle and die so quickly even by mobs…. only thing I feel good about is that rolling speed + moving faster than others using medium/heavy

  10. I'm sure it was mentioned but with your theory a light armor wearer, who's going to be ranged, could simply kite a heavy armor wearer and never really get caught because that 5% speed difference. I get what you are trying to do but in a PvP game if you lower movement speed you just eliminated that armor because no one is giving up move speed. Especially in a game like NW where you literally run EVERYWHERE.

  11. I ran light armor pretty successfully in PvE and PvP (open world not war) up until about lvl 40 because I enjoy the dodge playstyle, but basically had to switch to heavy after that since coming up against multiple players and fighting in the GC a d edengrove was a much more difficult endeavor at that point.

  12. This video wasn't thought through very well, seems like he is talking about PVE aspect of this but in PVE if you are using light as a melee fighter then that's the problem, but if u are in pvp light is definitely got it mobility benefits. really need to do research on both side of content.

  13. I feel like I’ve seen too many mage clips of them being able to get away and destroy 1 or more people with ease, I don’t think it really needs a buff solely bc of the roll

  14. I see way to less people talk about the extra dodge of medium armor.
I play Greataxe & Hatchet, so I am basically a bruiser.
Light armor would mean I would die instantly either in the scenario against heavy armor you explained in the video or in a fight aginst a ranged enemy with ligth armor.
Heavy armor on the other hand would make me real slow with 2 (bad) dodges. Maybe I would stand a chance against other heavy armor users now but the problem with light armor users is still the same, if not worse because of the worse dodge of heavy armor.
I see the point that the 10% dmg and cc increase wouldn't be that usefull especially in PvP but with the right combination of armor I can use some heavy armor pieces aswell and be almost as tanky as if I had heavy armor. On top of that I still have 3 dodges to get to these pesky ranged enemys in PvP.

  15. All of this is assuming the combatants are just standing there trading damage, and that's not at all how people in light armor fight. Majority of the time, I take zero damage because I don't get hit. The dodge roll as such a long invuln period that it's silly.
