  1. For everyone who wants a HABA Game i suggest getting their games right now. They recently declared bankruptcy and the future is very unclear. They will probably get bought. But who knows what will happen to the awesome build quality of their games afterwards.

  2. At what Age-ish range do you feel these games work at? I have a 4 year old who obviously can't read all still super limited so I'm hoping by age 6 she can start to play some of them. I know you said my lil everdell worked with your 6 year old so that has me excited

  3. How many boardgames do you have since you always mention wanting to keep your collection at a certain size? Or is there a possible public boardgamegeek list or other source with your active collection? Just ordered Cthulhu DMD btw 😀

  4. My 6 year old had a lot of fun with Zombie Kidz, also loves Castle Panic, and Silver and Gold. Reading is a barrier for some of these games. He did play with me Massive Darkness 2, had to run all around protecting him as he kept running for the treasure and not being very tactical 😂

  5. I work at preschool and every Tuesday we have board game club, where I teach kids how to play classic games (like chess and checkers). Lately i started bringing them some modern games, and so far the biggest hits were Cockroach Poker, Virus (especially with Virus 2 expansion) and Uno Jr.- all of those games are dirt cheap and can be enjoyed by kids as young as 4 and after few games they don't require special supervision.

If you want a bit more challenging games for your kids I can also recommend Coded Castle (great way to teach coding!) Imago Family, Super Farmer (old Polish game which can be bought internationally now, but beware- it's highly random and some kids can get annoyed by it), Dōbutsu Shōgi (simplified version of shogi) and Draftosaurus

  6. I think the last time you had wreck raiders on a list and showed the box, you held it upside down the entire time! I'll be waiting for the next time to see if it manages to make it right side up!😅

  7. Oh and to answer your question, I have a 3-year-old and we enjoy playing dragamino and yummy yummy monster tummy along with my first Castle panic. That last one is more fun just because it's a silly castle defense game that we kick their booties back to the dungeon!

  8. Extra shout out to Zombie Kids. Had a ton of fun going through that. The legacy aspect of it made it easy for my kids to learn cause the extra rules come in slowly. Also I’ve been really enjoying Battlesheep. I can’t explain why it’s so good but it’s quick and easy, but can get real tense when you realize you’re getting stuck.
