A viewer asks:

“Question??? Did Peter really use profanity. I hear people say this all the time but if it is true where can I find it in scripture???”

  1. Just in general, a person should recognize that one well-placed vulgar word can have a powerful rhetorical effect, whereas a hundred arbitrary profanities lose all impact. So no matter who you are, if you must use coarse language, be like a PG-13 film: do it only once and make sure it counts.

(Or, you know, just don't do it at all.)

  2. I imagine if I walked up to a woman calling her a dog she’ll be very offended. The B word is reference to a female dog. Ps a person can really offended hurt somebody without saying a cuss word i imagine I don’t love you anymore or you’re not physically attractive has taken out more folks than a cuss word.

  3. I struggle a lot with profanity. Years and years of believing it was ok have developed deep seated habits. But the reality is I know better, and in certain contexts I know I’m able to control myself (like at work or church). So there really shouldn’t be any excuses… but regardless I do struggle with it!
