Major Motorhome Repairs can quickly ruin your enthusiasm for Full-Time RV Life if you have not factored that in to the equation! The flexibility and freedom to travel this way comes at a price. This price is buried and “disguised” in the initial motorhome purchase, insurance, fuel, campground rent, maintenance, repairs and the elephant in the room,..depreciation. I would suggest you consider watching our “Cost To RV” video episode #276 as a “reality check” before selling everything and venturing out on the full time RV Life.
In this episode, come along with Mark as he walks you through all the steps, decisions, repairs and discoveries as he tries to stop a “mystery leak” that we have had for over 2 years on our 2014 Newmar Dutch Star 4369. We have finally concluded our Gray Tank has a leak that only appears when the tank is about 1/2 full. NIRVC-Atlanta has been chosen to do this complex and expensive repair for us. Remember to “Subscribe” and ring the Notification Bell so you don’t miss out when we publish this expensive & extensive wet bay rebuilding repair video.

Just WOW.
Incredible effort and story. I really appreciate your dedication. I am praying we dont ever have these kind of issues but I am following and impressed by the response from your friends at NIRVC.
Hello Mark and Sue.Sorry to hear about your grey tank. I’m sure NIRVC will sort it out for you. BTW, that Entegra Anthem at the end of your video has made its second appearance on your videos, I’m still looking for that can of WD40 on the electric box. lol… We arrive at NIRVC on the 7th, we may see you there. Mike and Laura.
Wow Mark! I am in awe with your effort analyzing this phantom leak. I am highly impressed with the NIRVC support you are getting. I will most definitely become a customer of theirs as soon as I can afford a newer motorhome!
Amazing how detailed you are. Sorry about leak. I see job as RV tech in future. Looking forward to seeing you in Florida. Safe travels.
safe travels best to you both the many fun things we do to keep our full time rigs working greetings from Texas
I always make sure my wife watches the Mark diagnose and repair videos so she’s prepared for RVing with an Engineer. You represent the profession well. We’re still 30 months away from joining the retired RVers but can’t wait. Go Pro on a selfie stick attached to a broom handle for the win!!
Thank you for making this video, we do not have your problem and hopefully never will, but its confording to know that there are solutions for older RVs. I look forward to seeing the results video. We have been following you for several years now and you have been an inspiration for us in our journey.
Leave it to Mark to have us laughing our butts off even in a serious water leak video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Always keeping it real!!
Good luck with the leak, I think Myles is just getting a little long in the tooth and has issues just like all of us.😢
Best of luck with the new tanks.
He is hilarious 😂
That equipment gets beat up from the shake rattle and rolling miles down the road
So sorry that you are having this problem. We know Brett, and this dedication to customers is no surprise. He’s priceless. So glad to hear that you have an in-depth plan moving forward. We are looking forward to meeting you two someday – hopefully soon. Safe travels.
🤔🤔
Viewers…. when buying RV's, these folks did it right, older RV from a family owned manufacturer. Time causes failures in even the best family owned manufactures. Now imagine how much quicker you will have problems in publicly owned manufactures….In spite of their issues, find older RV's manufactured rigs from the era of better products and update them. Worked for me and working for these nice folks. IRV2 will guide you. Great channel here and IRV2.
Brett Davis called? Wow!
Mark, you need to go ahead and open the vault and get that 2024 Newmar New Aire!!!
What a great video Mark thanks so much. Yes I have been watching your videos for quite sometime and have enjoyed everyone of them. I have been watching you chase this water leak for sometime and up to this point. I just wanted to say thanks so much for all your efforts on keeping us well informed. I can't wait to see this problem resolved and I know you will be glad as well. God Bless you and your wife I will keep watching myself.
Thanks for the video.
Mark,
No one does a better production of a video than you and Sue. Comedy, Drama, Suspense, Information. This video could be up for an Academy nomination. I also think we both can agree there’s nobody better for everyones RV service or how NIRVC approaches the VIP customer buying experience when someone is looking to buy an RV. Their over all customer service comes from all the staff at each location. Brett Davis has set the example of how he want NIRVC customers treated.
When you’re at Lawrenceville Georgia NIRVC having your Coach worked done, please say hello to service advisors Nick Schwehr and Lamont Browning for me, both were great to work with. If you see the following service technicians or service leaders in the service Bay Area (D’Andre, Amor, Jose and Jim) tell them hello from me also. I do not think you are have any paint/body work done, but if you see Dawson or Dylan Pines, Dobie, Mike Burns in the paint area give a big shout out for me.. One person you have to find is Justin Townley the guy with all the answers to all the problems . Good luck with all the repairs Your in good hand with that team…
Mark, as always thanks for the information. I can't wait so see the conclusion. I too have a 2014 Dutch Star 4369 and just got back from Cummins after a $12,500 repair including a new exhaust manifold with 5 broken bolts, new alternator, and a new DEF header. I drove about 200 miles and now back in the repair shop for a suspected failed intake air grid heater. During the first 3 week repair the shop didn't plug my unit in and the batteries discharged extremely. During the attempted battery recovery I noticed the Magnum inverter/charger was not passing thru the 120v power. Just another repair opportunity. I love it but I didn't anticipate how much love and care ($$$) they demand. Thanks
Interesting quagmire in both sense of the meaning and I feel highly confident with Mark's ME background, he painted a great picture of the problem for all to have an in-depth understand, including graphics and diagrams! And, yes, I'll be tuning in for the mammoth $olution! Best wishes for a soft landing guys!!
Oh… Marco…
I would be pulling my hair out!…
I can see that you already have…
You have, as my family would say, "the patience of a saint!" HI from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon! Where that have some of the best Cinnamon Rolls and Elk chili! We hope this repair goes well.
Safe and healthy travels.
Brendan & Lena
Nice work chasing the leak down. That’s usually never an easy job. I will buy 30 feet of pex from you this winter when we see you. Safe travels!!
Your video captures the suspense, drama, humor, and excitement of the old matinee serials. The viewer is left on the edge of their seat wondering whether Sue will be able to roust Mark out of his near hibernation state in time to speak with Brett Davis. Then the video ends with a cliff hanger – wii the three tanks be ready in time, will NIRVC be able to install them , and will Mark and Sue have the money to pay for the repair and continue on with their never-ending adventure.
Looking forward to the fix. Thx.
