Fae Farm is a farm life sim with role-playing elements that has been highly anticipated by the farming sim community. There’s dungeons, farming, mining, combat, friendships and relationships to be had, and a magical story to be told- but is it worth the hefty $40 – $60 price tag?

Shoutout that one digging clip that I accidentally inserted into the video like six times at 25:57
The casual cursing is something I didn't think I'd like lol
i’m so glad you made this video because my friend has been trying to convince me to buy this game, and this affirmed that i definitely do not need this game 😅 i will stick to stardew and the other farming sims i’ve been disappointed by that cannot live up to stardew
To me… not only is Stardew £15 but it was made and continues to be supported by ONE PERSON!!!!!! The depth and personality that stardew has, that it has maintained over the years, has set the standard for me
i need a coral island video from you!!! i think you’re gonna love it
i hate the art style. sorry. its just not for me.
I've never cared for romancing NPCs in these games – unless I find out you can end up getting an amazing item from doing so like in Sun Haven – but I was very put off by the NPC interactions I witnessed from live streams. Every single NPC shared maybe 3 identical chats between them and that is just something so dated that it made me think if they hadn't put any effort into the NPCs, what else have they half-arsed as well. I don't think I'll be buying this on Steam, and if I was a Switch owner it would be an even bigger no.
Your review and thoughts kinda hit a few of my noticed issues as well, so this is a deep, deep sale buy only for me.
Omg, this is the first time I've seen a review by this girl – it's brilliant, I looove no filter. 😂❤
There’s like a new cozy cottagecore “uwu” farm game every month and me, my wallet and my attention span just can’t keep up anymore. I’m still focusing on Palia and I always find myself coming back to my comfort zone which is Minecraft. I’m fine with only playing one farming game despite being in the middle of an ocean of cozy games.
Reminder for non-influencers who don’t have unlimited money, the idea of farming games is to promote simple, slow, anti-materialistic lifestyle. Always having to try out new farming games as soon as they come out just because your favorite content creator seem to be enjoying them is not sustainable and defeats the whole point of farming games, especially if one of them costs $40.
Also, Fae Farm uses Raleway font. I don’t like how the “W” looks like.
You can fast travel in the mines just by interacting with the first seal. If you got the other seals you can just travel to those
My biggest fear in life is finding the mysterious goth babe too late lmao 19:40
For a second when I looked away from the screen, I assumed that Liss's current vibe was Fall Guys
I played through Fae Farm, been playing farm sims since the 90s and wow the bar is low since people are thinking this game is good. it feels like a $10 app game and fast to get through.
I want this game so bad but I cannot justify paying $60 for it, I'm trying to figure out how to girl math this purchase 😅
Why is story of seasons and this chibi style 😭 I don’t like ut
I got the game and really enjoy it. Yeah, the relationships are kinda boring but that's kinda the only negative thing for me. I like the general mechanics and I love that it gives a cozy feeling. You can play it without pressure.
Btw about the mines… you can jump the levels by clicking on the seals. There you can choose which level you want to enter, without needing to run the whole way. As long as the seal is activated you can enter
Oh there’s a $40 version? 😂 no one said that
That’s crazy to hear this game is $60 on switch, when you could pay $10 more and get Starfield; which has so much more time, energy, and money put into it. I know they’re not comparable games, but the price comparison for what you get is crazy.
Also when you finish the storyline of the game, is that just it? Or is it kinda like Animal Crossing, where you can continue to grind and have fun, do things still?
Justice would be for $30 or $40. The $60 version could be the Deluxe or with DLCS or additional quality activities. But it's a good game.
Holy! You look like the elder sister in the conjuring 2 movie!
I've been playing this game for a while, and I will say, it's fantastic for multiplayer. There are enough different things to do that each player can specialize a bit, (I tend the farm and gather resources, someone else does mining and exploration, someone else figures out cooking, etc) and really feel like a team effort. I enjoy the gameplay, and it's a nice game to just hang out and farm with friends.
There's still plenty of bugs and glitches though, and I hope they get fixed ASAP. For example, someone tried to put a decorative shelf on the wall and it glitched, and we can't fix it. Meanwhile there's an entire NPC shopkeeper in the elf village that I can't see, but my friends can, and sometimes items just disappear from the inventory, etc. Not game-breaking, but frustrating for sure.
I still will keep playing it, and it's still fun, especially if you're playing with friends.
i can fully see both sides of the argument for this game tbh! my main issue is: stardew valley is worth FAR more than $15. like straight up, at this point? way more! but if they ever changed their price, people would be outraged even though it’s what they deserve. so when a new game of this type comes out and prices higher, whether or not you think it’s fully worth it, it’s gonna be dogged on yknow?
when this game first got announced it reminded me of fantasy life but as a farmsim and i really liked that, but it doesnt have the fun story and dialogue FL had so they lost me there tbh :')
after watching this video i think this game has a fun gameplay and it probably doesn't deserve so many negative opinions but idk if it's worth the price, at least not for me (i haven't finished most of the cozy games i've bought lol) </3
Thank you for this Liss! I'll stick to Coral Island I think. This was really helpful in seeing how the game really is. It's super cute though.
P.S.: the stone you used for the seal at 10:21…it's spelled peridot but it's pronounced peri-dough! It's the common birthstone for August.
I played this game for 2 hours and I got a refund from steam. Best decision I made.
Wait… is he Canadian? 🤔
Lmao ilu liss. I was super excited about this game but not for $60 😅 I'll grab it on sale!
